Maybe I can just repost that DS got into the dog's toy bag this morning, pulled out one of her bones, proceeded to chew on it and throw it around the room.. I took some pictures and videos and just let him at it.

I have a few. 1)I didn't reply in the talents, professions & fortes thread because I never finished college and you were all so accomplished I was embarrassed:( 2) Last weekend at a wedding I got kinda loopy on tequila (no baby drinking got a bit crazy) and DH and I had sex in janitors closest at the reception. 3) I let DD lick the bathroom scale so I could pack up the bathroom for our move (in fairness I cleaned it first then let her have at it for some reason she has been dying to.)

I didn't finish college either.. I don't think its important at all My kids can go.. or not. I don't want them to grow up feeling pressure or shame related to education like our generation did.
I went to 3 different universities + a community college, 6 different campuses, 3 states and over a course of 7 years and didn't finish. Sometimes it's just not meant to be. I love learning new things but still.. not meant to be.
jennyinheaven, kendy20, you should not feel embarrassed! I'm sure you both have accomplishments you are proud of and it's always interesting hearing other peoples hobbies
I am sorry if anyone felt embarrassed or left out of the GTKY thread- I tried to make it as clear as I could in the description that it wasn't just for college, etc.. But all talents, whether it's for hoola hoop competition or knowing a lot about sports teams. It's more- hey everyone's good at something- what's your thing? Or what are you really knowledgable about that you could share? DIY, knitting, cooking, electrical work were all examples people gave. Just because you don't go to college doesn't mean you don't have something to add to the group and to life in general. Please participate. I'm sure you are really good at some things!

I went, just didn't finish. I did 3 and half years changed my major 4 times and just couldn't find myself. I was working in restaurants the entire time and found I really liked it. I have held a bunch of different positions in the hospitality field including catering and hotel work. I like catering and rock at planning parties, so I guess I could be of assistance there. Oh I also know a ton about wine and food.

Who cares about #1... I only took project management online. school is not everything. Don't be ashamed of the path you took. We all have a different journey and life : )

DH and I started watching The Killing a couple weeks ago. We finished it. This week we started watching Bosch on Amazon Prime. We're gonna be done with it tonight. (Bosch is so good btw, great detective show if you like that kind of TV)

Sometimes I wish I didn't waste the money going to college. I mean I meant my husband there and made a few good friends, but I'm still paying loans back 10 years later and ended up going back to a technical college to get my certificate.
Awesome for you and your husband!! And that you drink tequila. It is definitely not my friend.
DH and I are both underpaid and underemployed. This obviously creates a financial issue. He's on my case to look for a new job. My FFCC - I have no interest. My job has great benefits like flexibility to take time for DS, I never have to work late and I could do it in my sleep, which some days I pretty much do. I feel like DH should bear the burden of finding a better job since I do more things related to DS.
I'm thinking of going against my plan and have daycare start table food rather than us do so at home. They will be more consistent with it, plus DH makes me nervous when I try to do new things with DD. I feel like his nervousness hinders her trying to learn new things sometimes. If she doesn't like something right away he comments about her not liking it or sarcastic good lucks when I try it again next time. He focuses a little too much on what's easiest and not what will take some time, effort and a little patience.
Everytime lo woke up last night, I didn't hear him or ignored him and DH had to wake me and tell me to go feed the baby when it was time. Lol. I actually feel pretty good today.

DH is the same with DS in terms of eating, using the umbrella stroller, switching to the new car seat, etc.

Your DH sounds like my FIL. Which is strange because he raised 4 kids and now has 5 grandkids ( you would think he'd relax) but every time we give DD table food at their house he freaks and stares at her nervously asking if she is going to choke. It's so bad and he scared my sil so bad her daughter is two and still eating baby food!

That's the downside of my story I guess I have the loans and no degree. I will definitely encourage DD to have a plan/passion before entering school blindly just because it what you're "supposed to do". Tequila only on special childless occasions.
1) I had an interview two weeks ago and called out sick to work. I felt so guilty especially with how busy we've been with a new program. I don't think I got the job. 2) I've been eating peanut butter from a jar for lunch (I only had two tablespoons, I swear). 3) I made DH take DD to DC this morning. It was running on a 2 hour delay because of the cold (?) and I told DH I had a meeting. I didn't. I wanted a car ride to myself and no obligations. 4) I bought more head wraps from Little Hip Squeaks. I need to get to the package before DH does and act like he's a terrible father when I tell him "She's had these for months. No. These aren't new".
