Here we lay in L&D, hooked up to monitors and the bp cuff. Cervidil comes out at 6, pitocin starts around 6:30. My back is already uncomfortable, which I guess means progress. I'm terrified but trying to fake it and not be a blubbering mess. Think happy thoughts for me, ladies!
DH gave LO about 4 oz of pumped milk around 1, so we actually got almost 4 hours of straight sleep. When he nurses from me he eats for a while, sleeps, eats, ect until I finally try and put him down, but he doesn't go into the milk coma so much anymore. I might have to try the bottle thing once a night...is that bad?
We are about to start doing that. No its not bad its called feeding your child while protecting your sanity.

Good luck danitaec babycfeb2015 M also have some diaper rash that I'm not sure how to get rid of other than constantly changing his diaper and putting on desitin.
dacora I experience the same level of anxiety starting at about 7pm. Last night M was sleeping from 7 until I went to bed at 1030 and then he was up every hour last night. I'm not sure how to switch it so he's awake more right before bed. I also had no qualms about leaving him to go do some food shopping for the first time. I was actually super grateful for time "off."
I am wondering where all this talk of "breastfeeding makes all the weight melt right off!" Came from because I'm not seeing that happen here. I think I'm one of the unlucky ones where my body holds onto everything for a reserve. Yay me. I just want out of this uncomfortable can't wear my regular clothes, but maternity looks frumpy stage. ?
Sitting here at home on the birthing ball having irregular ctrx. Last night, DS told us that baby would come today so I hope my 4yo Oracle of North Texas is correct. Mixed feelings though- inside babies are SO much easier but I'm getting quite annoyed with all the texts/FB messages of "have the baby yet?" I'm ONE FREAKING DAY overdue. That's it.

danitaec T&Ps for smooth labor & delivery! Mom2Ms enjoy that pool time! I would love to be in the water right now. dacora there's nothing wrong with not feeling anxious leaving LO with your mom. You're all part of the same family, and every parents needs some time to recharge. krispy83 I don't think it's at all ridiculous to get another glider, especially since you found a good deal. Two gliders, two kids, two purposes. 2mrsks (mrs&mrsk) I see a March baby in my future as well. I'm a little worried because my sister is visiting (I'm in Louisiana; she lives in California) and she's got to fly back on March 9. I'd like for her to have more time with LO than a few days.
Sorry to all you ladies who are sick or have sick family.
Trying to catch up on my to do list this weekend: hospital bag, padsicles, laundry. I feel like I'm so far behind you ladies with outside babies, but I'm not even to my EDD yet. My sister wants me to pick out freezer meals for her to make, which is pretty much the best thing I've heard all year - especially if she makes them at our parents' house, since the parents have a dishwasher and I don't.

LO had a great pedi visit yesterday! Been having one every week since we were discharged to make sure he gets back to birth weight (7lbs13oz). He was 7lbs1oz at discharge two weeks ago and now is a whopping 8lbs4oz. Kid gained over a pound in two weeks! I guess breastfeeding is working! The pediatrician felt bad that I'm still averaging about 13-14 feedings a day. What can I say? My child is a glutton no wonder I can never get anything done. But he has been going longer stretches (especially at night - thank The Lord!) between feedings, so maybe he's starting to slow down.
Anyone dealing with pregnancy carpal tunnel? I had it pretty badly during pregnancy but it seems to keep lingering in my wrists and my rings don't yet fit.
Yes but not that bad just one wrist and sporadically

Yup!! Two-ish weeks pp and I feel like it's just starting to really let up. My hands are still swollen but the pain had lessened. Hands still are tingly and fall asleep a lot though.
We're going to figure out the laundry situation so that we can get into the cloth diapers for more than just an endless supply of burp cloths (hooray for going mainly prefold).
My teammate had her little boy super early this morning, so Geoffrey has his first friend four days younger than him.
I think we have also managed our first full breast feed with no supplementing.
Good luck danitaec! Every time I've been to l&d I have to keep it together, otherwise I'd start bawling. Just being there makes everything more real and overwhelming!
kcwnc very thin and not mucousy. Straw to clear colored in the pad. Smells almost sweet barring the baby doesn't release meconium.
flyster We had the exact thing happen. I called our parents first to see if they had any clue who it could be. They didn't, so I ended up posting a picture of DS playing with his new toy thanking the "mystery giver" for his really cool truck. My cousin-in-law ended up commenting saying it was from them and her silly husband didn't think to post their name or a card anywhere. Lol. We all had a good laugh, and we sent them a real thank you card later.
@babyfeb2015 +1 for butt paste. Our pedi also recommends patting bottoms dry with a cloth before applying cream to avoid locking moisture in.
My spam, happy due date to me. I'm going to wear my "due in February" shirt. Do you think baby will get the hint?

I am. It's worse when I wake up in the morning. Hoping it goes away after delivery.

Oh, etiquette question. We got a stuff bear in the mail yesterday addressed to LO. Its very cute, but has no information about who sent it...just came from Amazon Prime. There is a good chance its from either a relative, or a friend of one of our parents. I let the parents know, so if anyone mentions it they know to tell us. Any other ideas for finding out? I could post on facebook, but thats not the kindof thing I like doing much.
Same thing happened to us today. I ended up posting on FB though and we found out in about an hour!
Whoo-hoo! Since baby is staying put, tonight we're going to dinner w/my maid of honor whom I haven't seen in months as she's in town for a conference. DH is driving just in case anything happens.
Sending DH out to get gas drops for Roslin. She's been very gassy and fussy and just seems so uncomfortable. I have no idea if I should try changing her formula or sick with what she's been eating if the drops work.

The kids went to their dad's house, so I have been an absolute sloth today. I'm finally peeling myself off the couch and heading to Starbucks with my husband so that we can work on grading papers. Two teachers in one house is too much some days. We both are stressed about lessons and such for when the baby comes. I have also procrastinated on grading some essays.
I am just looking forward to a decaf latte. If I finish all my grading, that will be an added bonus. If not, oh well. They will get the graded stuff when they get it. I'm a little snarky today. I'm just too damn pregnant and ready for this rascal to come.
toadandbuggie, I was told that BFing would cause the weight to just fall right off. One of my coworkers was thinner at her 6w checkup than she had been pre-pregnancy. I was extremely irritated to find that I had to work at losing every.damn.pound with DS after the initial weight loss from delivering. I'm assuming it will be the same this time around.

What a lucky girl. That's supposed to be one of the perks of breastfeeding. I had a feeling I would have to work extra hard to lose the baby weight. I can tell I've reached the point where the rest of this weight is going to stubbornly come off. At least I have my wedding for motivation.

Whoa. 6 weeks?!?! That's insane. If only we could all be so lucky. With DD I gained close to 70 pounds. By the grace of God I was able to lose it all. It took like 5-6 months though. I worked for every stinking ounce. I've onky gained about half that, so I'm hoping it domes off quicker.... But I'm also old and I think I read it's harder when you're older....
Good luck to you and all of those who have babies on the outside and are fighting to lose the weight! You can do it!!!
Up for the motn pump. My mom is here tonight so other than pumping I get a full nights sleep!
It's been 36 hours since my wisdom teeth came out and my bottom right lip/chin area is still numb. From what I'm reading it sounds like the doc may have damaged a nerve? Am I going to have a lopsided smile for the rest of my life and not be able to chew?? Any dental professionals here??Their office is closed until Monday
Hope some of you guys are getting outside babies today! Yay!
Same thing happened to me when I had my wisdom teeth but it was just my left lower side. It took a little while but the nerve healed and I got feelIng back. Eating could be a little awkward - I once had a piece of lime stuck to it and had no idea because it was numb and sometimes I'd drool out my drink! At least it gave my husband a good laugh
topolina1215, that makes me feel better to know you eventually got better, I"m so worried I'll be numb for life! The pain from this is the worst though. I'd take the c-section I had any day over this pain!!
