If you're considering getting a maternity support belt...

...and it's totally okay with your doctor, I strongly suggest getting one!

I am about 32 weeks with my first and in the past few weeks have been experiencing a lot of bladder pressure (duh), and hip pain. Turns out LO is parked on my right hip. So I got a maternity support belt off of Amazon and I crap you not, it is the first thing that has given me any sort of relief from anything this pregnancy! It's a pain to take on and off sometimes and can be bothersome when peeing constantly, but the benefits so outweigh the few bothersome bits.

I don't wear it 24/7 because I read your muscles can become dependent on the belt, so I wear it for a few hours a day and BOOM my hip pain is gone.

Just thought I'd share with the rest of you!

I got one about a month and a half ago after being sick for three weeks with bronchitis and a sinus infection. The constant coughing was making me so sore. My doctor recommended I get one, and it did help support my muscles while coughing.

madelyndaphney mommarn. I have looked at them, but they look so big and bulky. Can you see the outlines through your clothes? Or is yours smooth?

The one I bought is really smooth, and honestly I haven't paid any attention to whether or not I could see it through my clothes, haha. But nobody has mentioned anything like "wtf is that", so it must not! This is the one I have

I'm lurking over here from July 15. I just got a belt that's really helping with some serious stretching/pulling pain inside my hip where LO's head has been for the last two months.

I was going to order one online but I really wanted to try one on, so I went to motherhood maternity (not my favorite store) and was able to try their brand support belt on. Not bulky at all, simple to put on, multiple straps to adjust and get the right fit!
