This is Scout our 1 1/2 year old chocolate lab. We've had him since 8 weeks old. He's still got his puppy energy and he is definitely an attention seeker! He loves to play fetch at the dog park and will often ignore other pups if there's a tennis ball in your hand! He loves little kids which is awesome for us! I can't wait to see how much he loves our little girl!
This is my cat Jacuzzi! She is 2 years old, and she is actually a puppy trapped in a cat's body. She likes to lick us, play fetch, and she waits for us at the door when we come home from work. She also likes to ride on our shoulders when we are walking around. She's my favorite kitty.
This is Chewy, our 1.5 year old Shih-tzu/something else mix. He is kind of an idiot but in the best way! He has raging allergies so he has turned out to be the most high maintenance little dog on the planet...soon to be replaced with the only thing more high maintenance: our baby girl! This photo is from Christmas when his hair was long. The second photo is after a haircut.
This is Shemus (5) and Obi (6) looking grouchy as shit. DH and I went to an event called Bunfest last year and dragged them along with us. They were not impressed, but I did have them groomed and bought some treats so they left happy. I was so excited to get their little glamour shots done but... they weren't. DH bought Obi for me as a complete surprise. We noticed Obi needed a friend (rabbits are very social animals and do better in bonded pairs) so we got Shemus a year later. We had originally thought she was a boy and named her Seamus O'Hare. We took her into the vet to get checked up before having her fixed and that is when we discovered "he" was a she. We had already gotten pretty attached to the name at that point so we just changed it to "Shemus" and call her "she-she" as a nn.
This is Sydney. We adopted her about a year and a half ago from our local humane society. She doesn't like cuddles and rarely comes around for attention. She would be an amazing barn cat because she is a total hunter. Anything that resembles a mouse doesn't last long here. Se is great with the bunnies though. She stands guard outside their cage when they're locked up and plays with them but isn't too rough. She doesn't sit still for pictures very often... This one is when she was a kitten and liked sitting in my lamp. She will be 2 in February.

This is my giant baby Summit:
And the kitties Nigel and Gracie:
Summit is a big doofus who's the sweetest dog on the planet. All he wants in life is to be friends with everyone and for someone to rub his belly. We've been through a lot with him with medical issues and we've spent almost $15k on surgeries for him (and he's only 3) but he's our baby.
Nigel is about 10 years old and is super sweet and snuggly once he gets to know you. If you're a stranger he wants nothing to do with you. Gracie is weird - she's super skittish and is afraid of anything that moves, breathes, or makes noise, and yet she's also super friendly and is a huge attention whore. She's also a talker and loves to have her belly rubbed.

Maya and Livy, 6 and 5 tonkinese. They're both demanding in different ways. They're like dogs and follow me around talking to me.
Rheya is a 2.5 year old vizsla (with DH here). She's high energy and silly and stubborn. She does what she wants and only listens if we have a treat (and there's nothing else she wants to do more).

This is Miley and she will be 5 in April. She is a Basset Hound and we absolutely love her to pieces. She is very spoiled and very determined when food is around.

I absolutely love this thread - I am a huge animal lover. I especially love all of the adopted fur babies. There are so many sweet animals that need loving homes! Here are my two fur babies:
Addy Elizabeth
She is a border collie/lab mix and is 3 1/2 years old. She was adopted at 8 weeks and was my single sidekick and actually met my DH at a beer garden. She immediately approved. She is super smart and has turned into a total Daddy's girl.
Jace
Jace is also a lab mix and is a little over 2 years old. He was going to be euthanized on Friday the 13th and I adopted him 30 minutes before his time was up. Hence, the name Jace (short for Jason) - ha. He is the most gentle, sweet, and loving boy. He is a true Mama's boy and loves to get all 85 lbs of himself in my lap

I am so happy this thread is here, I'm having a bad day at work and this has cheered me up a bit! Love all the fur babies.
This is Laika, our almost 3 yr old Siberian husky. I adopted her at 6 months old when I started working out of town and needed a buddy so I wouldn't go crazy alone. She came from a local rescue agency-someone didn't want her anymore and I couldn't imagine why!! DH was completely against getting a dog at the time, but when I took her home for a test run he completely fell in love. Best decision ever!!
We have Ruby (lab mix) Bruiser James Woods Esq.. Min pin terrier mix and Briscoe or "precious baby Weenie" or as DH calls him "Cries-With-No-Tears". They sleep in the bedroom on piles on dog pillows, blankets and beds. Real life: I'm a dog person.
