Let's talk about diapers. Being a snobby FTM I purchased Pampers sensitive by the box load and they are great! We were gifted a box of Huggies and my H was giving me a hard time about my snobbiness-- so I opened the box and have been using them, but here's the deal, LO has had 2 major blowouts in the Huggies!
So here's my question, what diapers are you using? Why did you choose them? Any blowouts?

Happy pooping
DD has been fine in anything except SAMs brand diapers (diaper rash).
There will be blowouts with any diaper you choose. Because babies. However, if you're getting continuous blowouts from one brand, it's probably not the best shape for your baby.
Also, I very rarely go by the weight requirements on the diapers. If they're continually leaking it getting blowouts, then I'll move to the next size. They get more expensive per diaper when you go up sizes.
That's my two cents. Hope there was something helpful.
We use honest. I like them a lot. My kids aren't prone to blowouts though. I like their wipes even more. My first has very sensitive skin so we just stuck with them. I agree w pp about sizing. Lots of leaks = size up.
We were gifted huggies new born size and they were working really well until a day or so ago, which I think is the cue to move up a size. No total blow outs yet, just close to blow outs, so because we only have another day or so left in newborn size, and I am am cheep I'll probably use them all before moving up. I think we also were gifted pampers in size 1, left overs from one of DH's coworkers. I'm hoping those work out.

We were gifted loads of diapers at our shower. I started out with Huggies naturals, and I'm currently using Parent's Choice. When I run out of those, I'll move on to Pampers Swaddlers. So far, I don't have much preference. I do think the Huggies have a shallower back though. We came closest to a poop-up-the-back blow out with those.
We were given Pampers at the hospital, and she is doing really well in those so I'm hesitant to switch. I have a box of what I think is the Wal-Mart brand in our current size, but I'm definitely feeling a little snobbish about trying them.
I have some Pampers for the newborn stage, but I plan to switch mostly to Kawaii Pure and Natural and/or Kawaii Little Green Bamboo (inexpensive cloth diapers for the smaller set) once LO is big enough to fit in them. (There are tiny newborn cloth diapers, but they wear them for such a short time that I decided not to invest in them.)
BTW, cloth diapers are THE BEST for avoiding blow outs. As long as they fit right. Seriously, the elastic in a cloth diaper works waaaaay better at containing poop than the elastic in a disposable, which makes sense b/c it's worth investing more in the materials for an item that's going to be used over and over.
For my babies out of the NB stage I do a mix of cloth and disposables, btw, so I'm totally not saying disposables are bad/evil/whatever. I do love my cloth dipes, though. Once LO is in size 1, when I use disposables I'll switch to Earth's Best b/c I think they're slightly more environmentally friendly.
I love Pampers but they're pricey. So I buy them when I have a coupon and they're on sale. I had horrible luck with Huggies when DS was little. We mostly used the Target Up & Up brand and they worked well for him. So far they've worked well for DD too.
I have some pampers, some earth's best and a few newborn cloth of various types/brands. We did a mix with DS 8 years ago and are planning on doing the same. Crazy to see how many cloth diaper brands there are now and all the info on washing. It's overwhelming and I have done it before.

I got the diaperdabbler (diaperdabbler.com) sample pack and have gone through all the N sized.
Dislikes: Seventh Generation Earth's Best
These didn't have the absorbancy or strong closure I'd prefer
Okay: Honest
Easily the cutest diapers - who doesn't love elephants with balloons? But they are expensive and don't work better than huggies or pampers
Good: Huggies P&N Pampers Pampers Sensitive
I originally thought we had to use sensitive diapers since we both have allergies, but the regular pampers work just fine. In fact, that's what they use at the NICU.
No blowouts with any of these, it just comes down to price and whether you like Sesame Street (Pampers) or Pooh (Huggies) better.
With DS, we used BumGenius cloth diapers after a few weeks and Pampers Swaddlers (NOT Drymax if that's still on the market) for daycare. Huggies & Luvs didn't fit his thighs well and would leak. He's always been tall, skinny- no chunky thighs. Since we CD, a box of Pampers would last for a long time so we stuck with that.
We are using pampers swaddlers mixed with cloth dipes. Once her umbilical cord has healed completely we will switch to cloth full time. We have a box of Huggies we were gifted but they are newborn and baby girl outgrew nb size at a few days old. We never got to try them.

We have been using pampers swaddlers since we got home from the hospital. Hank is almost ready for size 1 diapers. Once we get to that point, I have a lot of brands to try out from the shower.
DD just moved to size 1 and I only have used Pampers in that size. Once this box is done I have a small package if huggies size 1 and then, we'll move to our cloth diapers.
I didn't like the fit of grovia newborn cloth diapers on either of my kids unfortunately so those were a waste but I only bought 3.

With my dd we had a diaper thing at the shower where you could win a prize if you brought a pack. We got mostly pampers but also Huggies and luvs. I've stuck with pampers. I hated the way luvs felt and she blew out more in Huggies. I also still love the swaddlers more than the baby dry but I'll go with whatever is cheaper that week
I will only use pampers. The only time DD had blow outs was when she was getting close to the bigger size... I guess if and when DS decides to show up & pampers don't work out, then it's back to the drawing board......
I've tried huggies and Sam's Club brand (way cheaper) and we went back to pampers both times. They hold the most! We buy them off amazon subscribe now and get them delivered for both girls. It's cheaper than at Sam's club believe it or not.
All about the pampers in my house. I have them set up as a subscription order through amazon mom so I'm getting them at a very good price! Takes a bit of remembering to go in and change the size that is coming in, but I guess after she is out of newborns she won't grow as fast out of the other sizes? eh? I really have no idea!
We were gifted a lot of disposable diapers. Using Huggies now at the hospital. We will be cloth diapering when we're home. I think we'll use the disposable ones as needed. Our daycare doesn't do cloth so we opted for gDiapers because they have disposable inserts.
I used pampers swaddlers, because that's what my hospital used and it was ds first brand. I'm weird and it was sentimental to me (weird, I know). I didn't try other brands until later. Once ds was older (6months), we switched to huggies movers. They were ok and worked fine. They didn't seem as soft though.
With dd, again we used pampers swaddlers in the hospital. We were also given the swaddlers and huggies snugglers. I prefer the snugglers. They are soft and the nb size seems a little bigger than pampers. I do like the smell of swaddlers, but I agree with a pp, the mesh liner stuck to dd butt. I'm a huggies girl now.

We have cloth diapered for about three years, and it has gotten rid of all blowout issues, but when I had my first and we were in disposables, Huggies was the only brand that would never work. Leaks every time. Pampers were so soft that it annoyed me after the swaddlers. I did like that yellow line though. I really liked luvs and target brand. I keep thinking that I might buy a pack of disposables to take to the birth center with us, but I keep forgetting. I want to try honest co. just because they are so cute.
Eta I hate Pampers wipes because they are so thin. I like Huggies wipes a lot and any off brand wipes.

The hospital has Huggies and I hate them! The fit is weird and she's had 2 pee up the back messes. Pampers or Luvs are my disposable of choice, but we normally use cloth.
