I'm not getting much sleep tonight. My dd1 had a scare with her food allergies last night at dinner. That's the thing about young children and food allergies, you don't always feel like you can trust what they say. So we went and sat in the ER parking lot last night for 30 mins in case we had to rush her in. We were eating at a restaurant we've eaten at for years and she starts complaining her throat is itchy. It's a long story, but I've been checking on her and she's ok. But crap does that scare me when she says stuff like that! She was reacting to something most likely too because she had some little bumps that went away after I gave her medicine. Ugh!! I just wish I could heal her of this!

We do get a decent chunk of sleep these day. Which is fine by me. Jude was up briefly around 4:30, just long enough for me to bring him in my bed for snuggles and more sleep.
I survived my first year of marriage! Happy anniversary to me and Mr. Meg! We will be celebrating by going to the laundromat and taking the girl to a birthday party. Finishing our night with a trip to BRU to spend giftcards! We're getting an ergo!
As for me, we went out for grilled yummy chicken -- DH is finally home after a long out of town trip.
LO has lately given me four hour stretches for the first part of the night. This however is being offset by a sort of cluster feed around 3-am and then at 430 then at almost 6ish.
DS2 was up to eat at his normal 1 and 4, and I was up a bit longer during those times coughing. In good news, we normally bed share with DS2 right beside me, and I was wanting to transition him out by next week because I go back to work Wednesday. I put him in the swing, and he slept 4 hours, so that's good (for a while) if the crib doesn't work. Also all this coughing is forcing me to drink more nursing tea, and I normally struggle to drink enough of that and water.
I might start my healthy eating thing today. Yesterday was a day of indulgence (drinks, birthday dinner, cake), so I'm going to try to eat lots of fruits, veggies, and protein today.

We're also only getting 2h of sleep at a time, occasionally 2.5h if we're lucky. LO still hasn't figured out day vs. night, so every night at 3 am she's ready to party and impossible to put down. She'll be 4 weeks Tuesday so at least we (hopefully) only have a couple more weeks of this. It's a good thing she's so cute.
4littlebears that sounds incredibly scary. Hope she's back to normal today.
@meg81112 happy anniversary!
DS2 did not sleep well last night. I'm pretty sure it's gas. For those of you who use Gripe Water, do you limit how lo you use it? I read an Amazon review that said not to use it for more than 2 weeks at a time, but didn't see that warning on the packaging.

I'm not getting much sleep either!! Little guy is still up every 1.5 to 2 hours. He was 7 weeks yesterday... I'm feeling emotional today wondering when I wi ever get a 5 or 6 hours?? He was also really squirmy when he was asleep so I didn't get much sleep since I hold him most of the night... Not sure how to stop that pattern. After I feed him I burp him on my chest and we fall asleep... How is everyone else handling burping without passing out!? I started this trend due to his spit up issues and being afraid to lay him down.... Now 7 weeks later I've been holding him all night long... I need help and advice.

I let H go out with my brother i law last night and all I asked was he didn't get stupid drunk. So he didn't he got past the stupid drunk part and came back to my sisters I'm worse than an idiot drunk. So last night with him and 3 crabby kids was fun.
3littleones, I'm not asking this to be mean, but does your H have an alcohol problem, or is he just an immature jerk? I understand letting loose every once in a while, but it just seems irresponsible when you have kids at home and if it happens on a regular basis.

After a week long trip visiting what seemed like every person we knew back home I am so happy to be headed home. Unfortunately we have the worst luck ever... We stopped for dinner after being unable to find a dog-friendly hotel room. We got ready to drive to the next city where we were able to make a reservation and our car wouldn't start. After a few hours my DH determined it was 100% the starter and wasn't able to get it going. Luckily the hotel the restaurant have us a room with our dog. Now we have to call bcaa tomorrow and gt it towed. The kicker is that we are 7 hours away from family and 5.5 hours away from home. Since tomorrow is Sunday... The current plant is to rent a car and drive home for the work week, then come back next weekend and hopefully pick up our car. Life is killing me right now.
LO slept from 10 to 5:30! I feel like a new woman. Although, she did that once before and then was up every two hours the following night. We shall see.
In other news, my cousin's wife is pregnant. This is their 3rd round of IVF - the other two resulting in miscarriages. I'm not sure exactly how far along she is, but she is probably pretty close to the end of her 2nd trimester. She posted on FB yesterday that the baby has serious issues and the doctors don't expect the baby to survive. I am so sad for them.
I should win mom of the year points. Last night out power was out and I had to do a diaper change during a MOTN feeding. Thank heavens it was only pee, if it was a poopy diaper I would have lost points in how bad I would have cleaned him up.
ahayden1230 I sometimes walk around while burping. I find I get him in a better position and sometimes that and me bouncing gets him to burp faster. I also can't fall asleep siting up, so I haven't had an issue of falling asleep after nursing b/c I'm in the glider.

Thanks everyone for asking about my dd. She is doing great this morning. You just never know if it's going to be a mild reaction or a bad one. She's gone into anaphylaxis before so it's really scary. But I'm so glad she didn't have a bad one. I checked on her last night and her and her little sister (who were having a sleepover) were sharing a pillow. It was so sweet.

Even though this week is my last before I go back to work I am excited for it. Mainly because I have a hair appointment and am going to visit my family for a couple of days and go shopping. Gotta make the most out of this being at home gig!

He's just an immature jack ass. He's sure enjoying the older two climbing all over him this morning while I "can't do anything about it" because I'm nursing Beau.

We watched the movie Lucy last night and we actually made it through without too many interruptions and I almost stayed awake for the whole thing. I think I only missed the last 10 min. Yay!

I'm in tears. Again. Because as far as I'm concerned, I'm mourning the inevitable loss of the breastfeeding relationship because DH is not interested in having a probable tongue tie assessed and released if appropriate. My supply is increasing but LO can't seem to get it except when I have letdowns, so continuing this is basically insanity.
So I'm trying not to be furious on my first anniversary and am mostly only succeeding because I'm too sad to be angry.

FiliaRitae I'm so sorry! I just wanted to share that my oldest son had a tongue tie- breastfeeding was a nightmare. We finally had it snipped and he was a new kid! The procedure was less than thirty minutes from start to finish and he was able to feed immediately. I don't know if that story would help convince your H, but I wanted to pass it along.
