I'm here! Exhausted but happy
DH stayed home with DS last night, so I spent the night solo with DD.
It went well, but she managed to scare the shit out of me with copious amounts of mucousy spit up. Like, a ton. Apparently it's normal with a fast delivery.
Hoping for a little more shut eye tonight than last night.
Tomorrow is my due date, and I don't see any progress. I was having irregular contractions, but those stopped and haven't been back for days. Sigh....
Good news is that my school finally got it's shit together and my long term sub was approved Friday. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. He is subbing for me tomorrow while I go to my doctor's appointment, and I will get a chance to meet him after school so hopefully it will set me at ease to go over everything with him.
I am hoping that the OB will write me a note to stay out of work starting Tuesday since it will be past my due date.
So last night out of no where my baby decided to latch on and breastfeed. I have given up for about 5 weeks at this point. We had 2 successful feeding sessions but then for the motn session I was just making way too much milk and it was spilling all over here and she wanted no part of it. Screaming crying. I pumped and fed her a bottle, but I am curious as to if she will bf again today. It was so unexpected! Has this happened to anyone else??
Bad news is my mouth is still numb from this wisdom tooth extraction gone haywire. I'm so sick of only eating jello and other soft foods. I thought I would have lost a pound or two by now, but my weight is higher than ever! I'm blaming the anesthesia for that. Ugh, I just want to feel normal!!
Eta: we got LO's Social security card in the mail at 16 days old in case anyone is wondering. I wish I would have waited to send in my insurance change paperwork because they wanted it and we went to get a prescription for him and somehow insurance has his birthdate wrong though I checked my paperwork and it is correct. I suspect it is going to be more of a PIA when I call tomorrow to fix without his ss number.

Good luck to everyone having babies today!
Still pregnant here but it's a good day. I am downright cheerful! We all (Me, DH and both girls) slept in until 8:15 this morning and it was GOOD! We're usually up before 7 so 8:15 was epic for us. My parents came and got the girls and took them to church so we could finish baby prep and cleaning and I'm happy to say we're officially done. RCS is on 2/25 and I'm getting excited.
Tomorrow is my dad's b-day so we are hosting a dinner for him tonight. He likes BBQ so I made pulled pork, Texas toast, baked beans, pole beans and (for dessert) brownies. I'm excited to eat!

"Maisey Moon" is coming to an end.... DH got us a room at a 5 star resort. I had a massage. It was nice...... It's now time for baby to make his way out into the world. I'm ready. Everything is ready.
I've decided to discuss induction once I go past 40 weeks. I was against it at first, however, given how miserable & uncomfortable I am, inducing after my due date seems reasonable.
Lazy day here today. Its bitter cold with a really good chance of ice and snow. So LO is snoozing away in my arms and SS is laying on the couch while we watch Hercules. Yesterday we watched Pocahontas. I love Disney movies and the like.

We are having to same spit up with DD. Not tons yet. but that's good to hear that they say with a fast delivery that's how it can be. They haven't said that to me. But i had a water birth so they said that might contribute too.
The hospital called! I'm heading in at 7:00 barring an extreme rush of ladies giving birth.
I'm so excited and nervous all at the same time. I just packed 5 pairs of underwear
Thank you everyone for your positive thoughts!
Glad you got a call! Good luck. I also packed 5 pairs of underwear but confession time: 10 days PP and still wearing mesh panties. I asked for a ton of pairs because they are so comfy!

I'm at 11 days PP and still wearing the mesh undies too. They're really great with my c-section and I didn't want to have to buy higher waist underwear.

I'm 17 days PP and still rocking them giant pads... Gave up the mesh panties though, cos they fit kinda weird (I don't have much of a butt). I am still bleeding profusely and passing blood clots just about every other day. Can't wait til I'm done with all that pain.
