It is giving me hope this morning reading multiple posts about babies sleeping in longer stretches. We are not there but a little hope is all I need this morning.
Dh slept in the spare room last night because it sounded like he was going to cough up a lung. I was not going to risk him waking up lo after trying to "sneak" him back into his cradle.

The dictator has decided that the only place he will sleep is in my arms or propped up in the Boppy. Now we obviously supervise and limit the time in the boppy soo that means that the only place he will sleep is in my arms. My back is so sore and I am tired. I was hoping to get some work done at home today, but doesn't look like that's happening at least before this afternoon. I know the dictator is super grouchy because he needs to poop but DH seemed pretty against the thermometer trick. I am counting down the hours until DH is home tonight. My cats don't seem to want to hold the baby for me.

This weekend sucked and I don't know what to do about it. E is 6 weeks old and doesn't sleep for more than 2.5 hours at night. I know that can be normal, but it sucks because it means I only get about 1 hour and 45 minutes of sleep at a time.
Breastfeeding sucks this week too. I'm not sure if the thrush is bothering him or what, but it just seems off. My nipples are destroyed too (cracked and blistered) and I can't get them to heal.
Really cold here and I can't believe this is the last week in February. For as long as it took to get through the month of Janaury especially with going 9 days overdue, February has flown by. I just wish it would warm up enough to go outside. I'm getting cabin fever.

DH took the week off of work to spend some time bonding and getting stuff done around the house. I am so totally grateful to have the help with the kids and around the house. We timed it so that he would take some time off during the 3 and 6 week growth spurts that way I can focus on nursing baby and I'm so glad we did it this way instead of him taking a bunch of time when she was first born.
Love tits in solidarity for everyone that's sleep deprived. I forgot how hard it was to sleep so little. I've also been running into the problem that she wants only me to hold her. She'll cry her head off for everyone else and then when she's in my arms she calms right down. Great for my ego, not so great when all I want is a damn shower and 5 minutes alone.
AW of the day:
DH managed to finally get a half way decent pic of me and the baby. He sucks so bad at taking photos that this one is a keeper!

Had to get out the 6 mo clothes this weekend . Some of the 3 mo aren't fitting anymore- mainly sleepers and pants bc his legs are so long but it depends on the brand. Here's my 3.5 yr old holding him. He's almost 6 wks now!
Is it too early for wine? That's all I've got so far today.
Ha ha. The only reason I didn't indulge was because I would have had to open a bottle. And may have felt obligated to drink the whole bottle before DH got home from work. Can we still be creepy online stranger friends?
My LO has been gassy the last couple days. I feel so bad because there is nothing I can do except wake up with her at 4am and hold her while walking around the apt. I did the bicycle legs trick, but if only seems to with when DH does it. Is it possible to do that wrong? I need to run a couple of errands today, but I can't get her to go down for a nap so I can shower. The kitty is out of food and I need toothbrush heads. Also have to exchange a box of diapers we got as a gift. DH has had it with the target diapers and wants to go back to pampers or huggies. After a few bad blow outs (and one really bad one while out to eat. It was up her back!) we are just done with the brand. And I have to do laundry. Her MOTN feeding included spitting up all over my side of the bed. This is quite a to do list for today. I hope I can get it all done. I want my incredibly helpful ILs back.

Bless all of you who are exhausted and frustrated for keeping me alive with your posts! Sometimes it really feels like I'm really the only one whose baby is being crazy and only sleeping in my arms. Or the newest treat, which is freaking out to nurse and then unlatching and crying several times. Sometimes it seems like she's overwhelmed by the milk and other times its not coming out soon enough. We can't win! We've been doing a bottle or two of pumped milk to give me a chance to nap and prepare for daycare. I think she prefers it...milk comes right away and steadily, no work.
Currently she's passed out on my chest. At least my arms are getting a break, but man do I gotta pee.
Top it off with feedings at 230, 330, 430 and 6 and I'm having a super day! Happpppy Monday
raven We had the same problem with Target diapers! Glad we were only gifted a small package of them and they're gone.
Lo has been a fuss bucket all morning. I'm wondering if the 6 week growth spurt is here a few days early. Here's hoping dh comes home from work at a decent time!

I'm exhausted. I think Beau and I got what DS2 has. Now just to find someone who's willing to come with to the doctor because I can't handle 3 kids by myself feeling like this outside the house.

Our little guy loves the boppy! It's the only place he will sleep during the day. For whatever reason he will only sleep in his bassinet at night. I keep a close eye on him but I let him sleep in it. Saves my sanity!

This exactly... C will be 6 weeks on Thursday and he is just so long; I had to go buy some things this weekend because this is my first and I wasn't expecting 6 month clothes at 6 weeks!!!

I'm with ya. Forecast is 43 tomorrow and I'm ecstatic! Of course it also says windy, which any mildly warm day has to be. Eye roll. But I think we'll lap our apartment complex a few times in the stroller if its nice enough! The little joys in life haha!
Liam woke up only once! I woke up, and made homemade blueberry muffins! Yum! I'm about to make banana crumb muffins.
Wow these look awesome! I spend my mornings watching food network and am drooling over baked goods by the time I pour myself a bowl of cheerios for breakfast. Not quite as satisfying! I can't imagine having the time to prepare muffins start to finish without baby Harper having something to say. You are superwoman!

So... I've said it before on UO. I hate baby talk! I think it's inappropriate to encourage talking in such a manner to small children.
My MIL talks like that to DD. Granted she's only just under 1 mo but I don't want any bad habits starting on either side. Now I need to figure out how to bring it up to her.
Any parents out there having to have this conversation before?
It is so beautiful out, spring has sprung in WA :-D

Maybe it wasn't a fluke! C slept from 10 to 530 last night after sleeping from 11 to 630 the night before!! I thought he was waking up for a feed at his normal 230 time, but when I went in his room he started sucking his thumb and I rubbed his back for 30 seconds and went back to bed. Success
