becole come down to FL with me! It's supposed to be 80 degrees today, too bad I'm practically missing a day with this flight delay. Frontier is pissing me off with this delay but the flights are super cheap, we had a great experience last time we flew with them, def no frills tho.

vlagroupie & jmebormann - He's allergic to orange veggies; sweet potatoes, pumpkin, acorn squash, butternut squash, etc. He's gets hives, lots of poo, red butt (probably from all the poo), and with some of the foods, it's not even poo in his diaper, it's straight up food.

Regarding the hair loss, I bought a hair regrowth system from Sally's... I don't remember what it's called but it was the only thing they had for women. Anyway, I did see an improvement with it. Hair still fell out, but not as much. I used it until I ran out and didn't buy anymore, but soon after that my hair went back to its normal rate of falling out. Now I have all the baby hairs growing in, like many of you, they're ugly.

Oh this sounds awful poor little guy. I was curious what a food allergy would entail.
Anyone want to take their lo on spring break with me?
My DH can't get off work but I want to take a quick trip somewhere warm.
I remember the days when I used to file my tax return as soon as I possibly could so I could have my refund back in time to spend on college spring break. Memories. . .

Poor little fella! That was probably rough until you figured out what was going on exactly.

Okay--thank you. I'm going to go check it out! I got nothing to lose! Well, except more hair if it doesn't work:-)
Another Rant: I know I've brought it up before, but I seem to be losing gobs of hair it seems.
Ditto. I talked to the lady at the salon about this. She said is normally happens after women quit breastfeeding. Women who loose their hair before then either will continue to loose a bunch or will loose none at all when they stop. Thanks lady-- makes me feel better. Sorry for the bad news, although this woman was not a mother so what does she know.

This. Those were the days! Now I am scrambling to get my return done so I can pay for all the furnace work we had done this weekend. They'll be about $50 left over, I am thinking DH and I need to splurge on our second night out since LO.
AW: Aut laughed at me yesterday! I was taking her outfit off because of course she had poop all over it and my fingers tickled her neck. Best thing ever!!
Rant: DD, Why have you decided that you no longer like bottles? Mama has to work which means boobs aren't available 24/7.

This sounds awful! Orange foods are my DS's favorite! Poor kid.
ladytiffany24 & jmebormann, Re: the cutting off negative family, I feel that pain. A lot. Not even a month ago I had to cut ties with my little sister. There are 10 years between us but we were best friends, so it's been hard. Truth be told, I lost her a long time ago because she's made a string of bad life choices in the last couple years, but it still hurts.
sstwinklinglites - I feel so bad for your little guy! Those are some of the best veggies :-( Maybe, if he's lucky, he'll grow out of it? Do kids grow out of allergies or is that an urban legend? I must Dr. Google this.
Edit- Because my tablet auto corrected "allergies" to "leagues." Wth?

Kids can grow out of food allergies. Sometimes before school-age, or anytime until puberty, I believe. I once had an allergist tell me "Well you might grow out of this by the time you're 16 or so." And I was like "Dude, I'm in college." And he said "Oh, well you're probably stuck with it, then."
AW: I was sick most of the weekend and FI stepped up to take care of our 7 week old DD without me asking for help. All I needed to do was sleep, eat, and pump. He did everything else.
Rant: This stupid sinus cold has zapped my milk supply! I've been drinking a ton of water but I went from 4-5oz per boob per pump session to maybe 1 or 2oz per boob per session. And the last time I pumped I barely even got half an ounce from each boob. Wah! Silver lining though, I start back to work on Monday 3/2 and even though they would allow me to pump at work it wouldn't always be possible because I'm law enforcement. Can't exactly walk away from an emergency call to go pump. Haha! Even though lifestyle wise it's probably for the best I'm still bummed.

I'm not sure if anyone uses this formula or if it's even a great deal, but BRU in Florence has 32oz bottles of ready made Similac (green label) for $2.90. Other locations may have it too, but I didn't ask.

That's an awesome deal. I believe the green label is the organic version. The blue label (Similac Advance) is normally $6.99-$7.99/quart depending on the store.

Hey ladies.
So we went to our nine month appt. All went well. DS can't sit still for 30 seconds and managed to rip his diaper... diaper gel everywhere (wasn't a full diaper).
But anyway, we got a referral for an allergist at Children's to figure out what's going on with his food allergies, & I seriously can't wait to go and know what's going on and what foods we need to steer clear from.
I feel like there's so much I wanted to say in response to some of your posts and I'm now drawing a blank...
becole - Warm weather to me means going south... Fla, the Caribbean, or west to Cali. Florida's beach water is still too cold to go swimming though, so that would be a bummer.

Now that I'm home I can give you guys the stats from our well visit today. M was 18.26lb, 30in tall, and 18.27in HC, I think the percentages were 0%, 16%, and 26%. The pedi said he looks great and even though he hasn't even been on the charts for weight the past 6 months, his curve still looks good. Since M is already pretty small and not a big eater, we are going to start adding a nutritional supplement to his milk once a day to ensure he's getting all the proper nutrients.
We ended the visit with a shot in each arm, Tdap and MMR (yay!!) and scheduling his 18mo and 2yr visits. I can't believe I just scheduled his 2 yr vist, for cereal, I'm not ready for that.

sstwinklinglites--oh my gel diaper everywhere! I actually didn't realize there was gel in them, but that makes sense I'm guessing for the color changing line. mrscatfarmer13 Awe, You have a tiny one too:) We have DD 4month check this week and I'm so not excited for shots as I'm sure she'll get a little sick again. But I am stoked to find out her stats. She was only 9% height last time.
sstwinklinglites my kid loves ripping the paper on the table and clearing everything off the counter at the doctor.
Ditto my kid, also, stealing the stethoscope, eating the popsicle sticks, & taking the Student PA's glasses.
Gel everywhere... it's like little tiny balls of gel. I don't know how, but the diaper ripped, and when I was trying to get him down for his vaccine, I notice these little balls on the table, and since he won't sit still, more and more, and I notice it's the diaper. And they're gooey, to suck the pee into the diaper, yeah, not fun. Then we couldn't get him to sit still to put a new diaper on him. Tried to put it on him with him standing, that's hard yo. Ended up putting it on him while he tried to crawl off the table.

mrscatfarmer13 Omg. My almost 8 month old weighs almost 20 lbs! lol. I remember at the last G2G we were saying how similar in size our babes were. But hey, as long as he's healthy, that's all that matters!
I can't wait for DD's 9 month appt so I can get her updated stats!

DS checked in at 19.10lbs, and I thought that was so low. But he's perfectly fine on his curve. Kid eats well, but is so absurdly active that there's no chance for rolls to develop.
