1) One baby girl. My husband was ready to start trying for #2 by like 5 weeks. At 5 months, I'm still too traumatized by the newborn phase to even consider a second... 2) Brownie Raspberry Trifle. So easy to make and so, so, so, so good.
k3am - just curious, why 4 years? I have a brother who is 6 years older and while we weren't close when growing up we're close now. Also my 6 year old is pretty handing with helping with the baby
Personal hang up. My sisters are both much older than me and I feel like I missed out. 3 years is already pushing out beyond where I would want them to be, so I'm trying to convince myself that even 4 is okay. I may change my mind, but right now it just seems so far apart.
I'm the same way with my oldest sister. She is 10 years older than me, and was an only child for 9 years before my middle sister came along, followed very closely by me. She was super jealous of us growing up, and we didn't get along for years. I was in my mid 20s before we really started having a decent relationship. I have already told DH that I don't want our kids to be more than 2 years apart. Thankfully, he's on board with that!

I don't know that my older sister was jealous of us getting attention, but she's basically like a cousin to me rather than a sister. She was out of the house in college when I was 7, and then she got married. Whereas my younger sister and I are 13 months apart and are best friends.
Then again, you have my Dh who is 2 years older than his brother and was the same age as his step sister (who came into his life very early, like the age of 5), and he has never been very close to either of them or had anything at all in common with them.
I really don't know what the magical formula is, but I really hope my kids are more like me and my younger sister.
1. We currently have 1. We know we want at least 1 more. 3 total is possible though. 2. Almost anything with peanut butter, dirt pudding, or cheesecake.

Wouldn't it be great if there were a magical formula? "If you have your kids between x & y months apart, they will be BFFs for life." I hope if we have more kids, they will have good sibling relationships as they grow up.

1. I have one DD. And like judyblume14, the trauma from the newborn stage and the lingering exhaustion is still very fresh. I want to say I plan on 2 but my brain is screaming no.
2. I have never met a dessert I didn't like, but chocolate anything is pretty amazing.
1. one DD 3.5 and even though I have baby fever...relationship wise with H I don't see us having another 2. éclairs that my mom make is my favorite along with DQ ice cream cake. Really I just like all deserts except cheese cake!
k3am, My brother and I are 2.5 years apart and got along great until the pre-teen stage then we drove each other crazy now we get along great again as adult. My sister is 10 years younger than me and we were really close probably because she was my shadow and was with me for everything and we had swimming in common. It hit her really hard when I moved out in her teen years and we had a span of 5 years or so that was rough. Now we are getting back to a more normal relationship and I think once she finishes college and is in the real world things will get even better. H and his brother are 2 years apart and are water and oil.
1. 2 and through. I wanted more but a number of factors (finances, careers, lifestyle, time, emotional limit) have left us content with DS and DD.
2. I'm not a huge dessert person. I'll always opt for a glass of wine instead.
I always assumed wine went with dessert, not instead of...
There was an article awhile back on the appropriate wine pairings for the different varieties of Girl Scout cookies. Definitely not mutually exclusive ;-)
1. One daughter. We'd like one more but must do IVF again. Maybe if we rob a bank... Time is not on our side either; we're both turning 40 in a couple months. 2. I have less and less taste for sweets. I do like the banana creme pie a local cafe makes, because it's not too sweet.
1. We currently have 1. We know we want at least 1 more. 3 total is possible though. 2. Almost anything with peanut butter, dirt pudding, or cheesecake.
What is dirt pudding? Sounds like chocolate?
dirt pudding is OM NOM NOM NOMMM. to answer your question, but not actually answer it.

It's vanilla pudding and oreo dessert. The vanilla pudding is not your normal pudding. It's got a cream cheese and powdered sugar mixture in it. Then you layer the jacked up pudding, cool whip, crushed oreos and repeat layers. It's SOOOO good! I have to make it for DH's family every Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter or I'm pretty much not allowed to show up.

Yes, in a perfect world where I wasn't trying to lose 10 lbs (because in that world I'd look like a supermodel) I'd choose both. Actually, I'd probably choose champagne with my dessert and then a glass of wine just because.

Oh.My.God. I feel like my life has been incredibly deprived up until now not knowing what this is. I am totally going to make this this weekend! You are my dessert angel!

You won't regret it. Heres the recipe and directions
4 small boxes of instant vanilla pudding, 5 cups of milk, 2 8oz things of softened cream cheese(I put it in the microwave for like 10 seconds or until soft if I didn't have time/forgot to set it out), 2 cups of powdered sugar, 1 container of cool whip, and 1 package of crushed oreos.
- mix the cream cheese and the powdered sugar together in one bowl
- mix the vanilla pudding and milk together in a larger bowl. Once the pudding has started to thicken and you've gotten all the clumps out, put your cream cheese mixture in and mix the 2 bowls together.
-now you start your layers: pudding mixture, cool whip, oreos, pudding mixture, cool whip, oreos and repeat until you're out of stuff.

Thank you! This looks so easy to make! I'm going to hide in a closet and eat this all by myself. This weekend is looking pretty bright.
1. One DD, plan to have a second eventually, but twins run in my family...like PP said, the goal is to not get outnumbered. 2. I'm open to pretty much anything, dessert wise, but my absolute favorite is fruit cobbler a la mode. The only thing I don't really love is mint.

1.We are one and done over here. If money and genetic issues (LO has CF) were not factors, I would want one more in 3 or 4 years. 2. Anything paired with ice cream, especially vanilla. like anewadventure said though, must be high quality like Blue Bell.
tas1883, my sisters and I are pretty close now. They're 11 and 14 years older than me. We were never very close growing up and it probably wasn't until college that we started to build a real relationship. I still want more than that for any potential other kids I have.

1. How many kids do you have now and would like to have in total. Have one, who was born in May 2013 and will start trying again in May. We will be done with 2. 2. Favorite dessert- brownies. I love to experiment with different kinds. Oreo, mocha, peppermint, Peanut butter, etc.

1. We have 1.98 kids. DS just turned 2 and DD is joining us on Friday I think we will try for a third if I survive the second. I'm still a bit traumatized from the last newborn phase. 2. I love chocolate mousse cake. Yum!
Haven't read the rest of the replies. With 3 pages I hope I don't look like some NEWB jumping in the middle of some drama with a post related to the topic.
1. One kid out and one kid cooking. I think 2 is probably good for us. H wants 4.
2. Favorite dessert is probably chocolate cake with mint chip ice cream. But the cake has to be cold.
