Is anyone requesting account (and possibly content) deletions?
I'm curious.
I haven't yet. I'm still checking in every once in a while. If I completely abandon ship I probably will. It seems weird to leave all that personal info there.

I dunno. I feel like if I just wandered away the information would be there. It feels weird to delete.

Info I left about CDs I would be fine leaving. It's more my comments from when TTC G, and my desparate posts from the early days of BF'ing. Stuff like that.
Is there any real reason we HAVE to rush to delete the accounts? Personally, I don't think so....with that as my thinking, I'm just going to wait and see how the dust settles....then decide.
Now that I think about it, if the parent company is sketchy, deleting my account wouldn't prevent them from keeping the info or posting it at another time. I didn't have any pictures or personal info I didn't want on the internet so it wouldn't be a privacy invasion, but for some reason I'd feel better knowing I deleted my account. Then again, I'm the nearly Amish girl (as one of my friends used to call me) who deactivated FB and doesn't want friends or family posting L's picture.
Most of my BMB is asking for deletions, but that is because the move coincided with a massive drama involving members who had been banned from TB trying to rejoin, and lots of threats and things going on offboards. I wasn't involved so I don't even know the whole story, but some people are actually scared. It's really crazy and sad, but that's the internet. You never really know who you are talking to.
I'm not going to delete my account but I will probably delete my signature, tickers, and avatar.
This is what I was thinking. Though I haven't really shared anything on the even my BMB. I think I did a hump day picture of me once and I posted a couple of pictures of C with my birth story. Never posted a picture of him for HDBD. Other than a few fluffy Fridays on the CD board (and now here) I keep his pics to my Facebook and Instagram. Not much to go back and delete.
Are they allowing people to delete? It's not that I've posted anything particularly bad, but I wish I had been a little less personal at certain moments. Somehow I hadn't thought quite so much about privacy stuff toward the beginning.
They've reset my account twice now. It appears that some people don't know what they're doing and truly think that they're deleting accounts when they're just resetting them.
