Discount is usually 10% off the first kid's tuition (because it's lower already, don't want to discount the pricier tuition). We currently pay $522/week for 2. 2 meals and 2 snacks included.
Yep we get 10% off Q. I pay $444, but no food included. Worth every penny though. They are awesome there.
and PS. I got P's teacher an Alex and Ani necklace as a goodbye present. She loves it!! Thanks for the suggestions

Is that $444 for full time?
Yep. I take them to daycare near my work in a more rural area. It's annoying on days when I'd like them to go to daycare but I'm not working, because it an hour away. We live in a hcol and can't afford the 198/day for 2 kids in our town.

Omg @ $198.00 a day!!!!
I know!!! When I called they said it was 99/day and I thought, thats not soo bad. And then they said per child! That was when they were both under two...so maybe its cheaper now, but i love the center they are in so much that its not worth switching.
I did tour a place that was 60/day per kid...but the walls and floor were dirty and it grossed me out.

Ugh, I remember the first inhome daycare we toured the second you walked into the home all you could smell was dog. Oh and one of the dogs she had rescued and it didn't like men and kept growling at dh. Umm no way!

I don't see how people think that's a viable business plan - have unpredictable kids mixed with unpredictable animals, I'm sure it will be fine!

Yeah, we walked out the door and we were both like hell no!
What should we do with DD during the memorial for my Grandma? She obviously will come to the reception, but I'm torn on if she should come to the church part. I don't think she will understand what is happening, and she didn't know Grandma very well (and was not very well connected to her because of distance and her language issues post-stroke), but I think it will be upsetting for her to see our family so upset/in tears, etc. On the other hand, she would be a source of comfort and happiness for lots of the people there. (Also, would have to scramble for child care from friends in the area, since my fam will be at the service)
liziz , it probably depends on the child. For me I would find someone to watch DS. It was incredibly exhausting keeping him quiet at my brother's wedding/events. In situations like weddings and memorial services I would prefer to focus on the event rather than worrying about DS's toddler emotions. All kids are different though.
Yeah, I'm going to ask around to friends that live in the area, and see if anyone is available. H is my fallback plan, he can always step out, etc. (or skip the service part, if needed)
We brought L to my grand fathers funeral in March. About 10 minutes before it was over he got antsy so DH took him out of the church to the reception place.
I guess the podcast world doesn't know about trigger warnings. I listed to this weeks Modern Love, which is always some sort of love story. This week was a powerful story about losses and love for children. The synopsis stated something about a journey into parenthood. Wasnt ready for something so sad. Thank God my door was shut.
Why is it so gratifying to see a picture of an old ex boyfriend and he not look nearly as attractive as he was when you dated him?
That's funny you mention this because I went and looked back at one of my exs FB pictures because my sister was asking about a picture of him (her hubs and my ex were BFFs). He was definitely cuter when I was with him. He ended up marrying the girl he dated in high school. He has confessed that the happiest he ever was when he was with me and I was the one he wanted to spend his life with :/

Did I ever tell you that DHs Ex said to him after finally closing on their house "Sorry for the divorce, I can see its really taken its toll on your physically". Like saying he looked awful.

Omg, did he laugh in her face and walk away still laughing??

I think he sort of looked at her like "i cant believe she just said that".
Well, I got a voicemail from Early Start saying DS qualifies for services. I guess they want to meet with us next week to go over his evaluation. I left a message to set up the appointment. I'm curious what they have to say.
Too much today...I think DD has an ear infection, moving day is tomorrow, and work is nuts. Not to even mention any emotional energy I should be dedicating to grieving.
DD was crying when I left for work today, it was probably the hardest it's been to leave her for work, ever. I'm sure she's stressed out by watching all of our stuff get packed up, too.

I'm sorry. That all sounds really tough.
Thanks. Any piece of it would be ok, it's just all of them lumped together is a lot! She got sent home from school, so H is with her and taking her to the dr.

I feel like that's ALWAYS how things go. When it rains it pours. Make sure you take care of yourself and take the time you need to process.

You mean crying for 2 minutes in the middle of my run isn't enough!? I'm trying, and plan to take an extra day off so travel to the service is less stressful.
DH's aunt just posted on FB that her 10 month old went poop on the potty and if anyone wants photo proof she has it. Also he's been consistently going pee in the toilet. Lol okay.
I would die if a grown person posted a shit of theirs in the toilet and said "hey, me too!"
Move went great! Still lots to do, but we're in a place where we can function for the time being.
DD is not feeling better. She threw up last night (x2) (seems like stomach bug, not reaction to antibiotics), so she's home today with H and explicit BRAT diet instructions (even though H was making her eggs for breakfast). We'll see how today goes.
I've been reading just not posting a ton. LuLaRoe has me busy like mad. I barely have time for housework :-(
It's crazy busy. I felt like I was living and breathing LLR 24/7. Get a cleaning service as soon as you're able to pay yourself! I feel like that would be soooo worth it!
