DH did all the motn stuff last night and asked me to do the 530 feeding. I was half asleep and fell back asleep. So he's currently sleeping on the couch and left the baby up with me. He's missing out on the morning smiles that make it worth it. Too bad for him.
Today was supposed to be my first day back at work, but I ended up working from home. The governor has declared a state of emergency because there's a winter weather warning starting at 10am, and we could get ice and snow. You northerners are probably laughing that an inch of snow means "state of emergency" for Georgia, but as evidenced by last year, it turns the roadways into a catastrophe because people don't know how to deal with it.
So - DH went to work, but I am staying home with the boys. I had basically a fight with DH about "This is one of the reasons why there is so much inequality in the workplace. If one person needs to go to work and the other needs to stay home with the kids, it's just expected that the woman will stay home, and her career will suffer." But he has a bunch of meetings and things to do today, and I'll just be digging out of 200 emails, so I'm the one who gets to *try* to work from home with a 27 month old and 6 week old.

HE SLEPT!!!
9-2 then 3-7
Thank you little man!!!
I'm going to make a deal with him - he lets me sleep at night and he can sleep on me all day. Nothing will get done around the house all day but hey, if you make a deal you gotta stick with it ; )

If this whole STTN thing stops I think I will be more sad than I was before because I know what it's like to get sleep again... 945 to 445 and then back to sleep in our bed after BF! Granted I couldn't go back to sleep because he and my DH take up all of my queen bed, but I had uninterrupted coffee time so I'll take it
DS was super fussy last night and I was so exhausted that I let him sleep in the bed when I went to check on him I couldn't feel him breathing like I swear he wasn't breathing. So I poked him a little and he didn't do anything so I panicked half asleep and picked him up and started to make him move a lot and I heard him sigh and it was the best sound I've ever heard. That was probably the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. I could've swore he wasn't breathing. It's definitely scared me enough to where he's never sleeping in the bed with me until he's wayyyy older no matter what.
Yesterday sucked terribly. Sucked, sucked, sucked. LO was so fussy and wouldn't let us put her down. Even then she fussed half the time. She rewarded me by sleeping 6 hours, so I got 5.5. I feel so refreshed!

Both kidlets are stuffed up. I was up with LO at 11/2/5/7. DH was up with DS from 4:30. Preschool for DS today; drop off was even worse than last week. I have a moms group event at 11:30 and barre class at 1:30. I'm finally seeing the numbers on the scale moving - hooray! - and may reward myself with a glass of wine during the Survivor premiere tonight (if I'm still awake)

We are entering the super fussy period. LO needed to be rocked or nursed from 6 to 10 last night, then finally fell asleep but woke up every two hours to eat. In the evening and this morning, she was doing that crazy nurse thing – latching on, then pulling off and crying. DD1 is at preschool until noon and I'm trying to decide if I want to take DD2 out to run errands and get Starbucks or just sit at home and watch Netflix until it's time to pick her sister up. I'm exhausted but stir crazy.
A just will not nurse in the bed with me laying down. She either won't wake up and latch or is too awake and wiggly to latch. It worked like twice and then didn't. It's sad - I like resting while she's on her first course.
lexishay that is so scary--I'm so glad he is alright! @littlefoote I hope your son feels better soon! And fx for sure that it doesn't get any worse.
Last night was *so* close to being a really good one. DS went down from about 10:45-3:30, woke up, nursed both sides while half asleep, and was ready to go back down by 4. But...then I picked him up and realized he had peed through his onesie, fleece sleeper, AND swaddle blanket, so I had to completely undress him and change him (and wipe since he had pooped too it turns out) which of course resulted in him being wide awake for another hour. Ugh! The good news is that we'll both be tired today so he will hopefully take some decent naps and I'll be tired enough to actually fall asleep while he's napping. That's the plan anyway.
A real random: I just realized today that babies don't blink their eyes. Weird.

6 week PP appointment this morning. DH is excited because he knows I'll probably get the green light for sexy time. Unfortunately for him we've been going through Wonder Week 5 and/or 6 week growth spurt and LO has been super fussy and needy at night. We're also going to my parents' house this weekend, so probably won't DTD there either. I'm really not disappointed because I am 100% not interested in sex at the moment,
maebb good luck. Hopefully ATL handles the storm better this time.
Last night was a shit show and this morning kept that trend going. I stopped for donuts on my way home from dropping the toddler off at his babysitter's house. If things don't get easier soon, I might never lose the rest of this weight.
LO is so fussy and gassy this morning ? I have his one month appt today. I just don't know what is normal regarding gas and spitup... He seems way gassier and fussier and harder to burp... so tired.
My 2 cups of coffee went by way too fast this morning.
I hear you. Mine is almost gone and I'm struggling between my desire to make it last a little longer on the one hand and wanting to finish it while it's still warm on the other.
My friend is coming over to meet the new baby and for her daughter and my 2.75 year old son to have a play date. Yay! I haven't vacuumed and there are a million blocks on the rug. Boo!

I decided this morning that I absolutely hate long periods of awake time that result in LO being hungry but he's so tired he only eats on one side before falling into a deep sleep you can't shake him of.

We moved the pnp in the room cause this guy keeps smashing his face against the sides of the cradle. I was worried he wouldn't sleep well with the new arrangements. He slept like a champ, 5.5hours.
We went to breakfast this morning. Killed my points for weight watchers. Forgot to get coffee. Who forgets coffee? I hate myself.

Also thinking about spending a week in Florida this summer. So if any of you fine ladies live there and wanna house my family of four, just let me know!
It's like DS2 knows I need to be working today because he is demanding the boob way more than usual. I pumped and bottle-fed him 4 oz, so he's full, but he just wants the boob in his mouth. He'll pretend to be asleep and then scream when I take it away. At lest he was quiet when my boss called.

We've entered the first leap (wonder weeks). I found them to be very accurate with DS1, and I'm curious to see how it goes for this little dude. Anybody else following the wonder weeks? What do you think?
During tummy time this morning, lo rolled over onto his back for the first time! I think he surprised himself as much as he surprised me. Strong little man.
