WTF DH? Don't effing asking me to wake you then go back to sleep all three times I wake your ass. Guess what? Now I'm going to let you continue snoring, and you'll be late.
sstwinklinglites oh that would tick me off! WTF to Cincy Children's that sent me a $350 bill for an appt I left after waiting for 1hr 1/2 to see the eye doctor while having a screaming/hungry newborn. We never even saw the doc. Just sat in a room. That costs $350?!

WTF indeed to both of these! sstwinklinglites I would def let me him be late! I hate it when DH tells me to wake him up for dinner and goes back to sleep after I've made a good meal.
My WTF: I'm fighting with insurance too. I keep getting a 1k bill from DD's Birth. I have told them she has insurance and given them the info 3 times and they keep billing me cash!

jmebormann - That sucks. DS has seen the pediatric ophthalmologist twice at Children's. Once when he was about eight days old, then again at six months. We have another appt. at a year. The first time we went downtown and hardly waited at all before being seen. The second time I went to their location in Mason, 'cause it's five minutes from me, and waited like an hour to be called in. Next appt. is back downtown again, as per their request, but hopefully it's a quick visit.

narbuckle01 - Insurance / doctors / hospitals can't seem to get it right for newborns. We ended up paying out of pocket for DS one month pedi appt. because they fraking couldn't get it right. I got so tired of fighting it I said fuck it. It was like $130 and I was not going to keep arguing over it.

Yup same thing here- they weren't going to give her the 2 month shots because insurance was still being denied. Apparently there's a stash of vaccines for no ins people and a stash for ins people and because we were in between they didn't want to start shots. I threw a fit and they ended up vaccinating her. And I'm still paying cash for her reflux med because it's not worth the fight.

I had to fight with my insurance too (BCBS) after DD's birth, and finally got it taken care of. Same thing though! It's so annoying. As long as she's insured it'll be okay it just takes forever for them to communicate properly and get everything in order. I had to get a little beotchy and was on the phone with hospital and them all day. GL!!!

WTF stomach? Why have I been a bottomless pit since yesterday? I'm talking, I'm not full, I can keep going & going. I had two waffles for breakfast at like 8:30AM; it's not even 10:30AM & I'm hungry. Stomach growling hungry. WTH?

My WTF post couldn't wait, so I posted it under my vent!! But I do have another one -
WTF DD you chewed 2 holes in your bink and threw it away on your own, then you cry all night b/c you don't have one. I'm sorry, but you are old enough to be weaned and come hell or high water, you will be!!

becole - I've been having reflux too, not daily, but for someone that didn't have any before getting pregnant, it's gross. Have you tried Prilosec or Zantac to just keep it away all together?

I used to take Prilosec when I had issues before. I'll have to see if I can find an old bottle. I try not to take meds bf . That's why I was thinking tums. Mine is almost always brought on by stress. Constipation from stress too but luckily that's been okay. I'll definitely need to take something before drinking wine. That gives me the worst heartburn.

WTF to myself. Why did it take me so long to realize I need to do better in keeping up with fashion and makeup for myself? It's like I've had a switch flip this week, and suddenly I've realized everything I know is from like 15 years ago.
On that note, please rec your favortie primer, brushes, foundation, and concealer. I'm predicting a trip to Sephora or Ulta in my future.

mrscatfarmer13 - I haven't used it in awhile, but I liked Urban Decay for primer and make-up setting spray. Your makeup will stay on for 12 hours even while sweating.

I second the MU setting spray.
I just recently had to run to the drugstore to grab a foundation, and I never use drugstore products, total snob in that aspect, but I picked up Loreal Infallible Pro - Matte. It's the best foundation I've ever used. It lasts 12+ hours, doesn't leave any shine, doesn't get greasy, it's amazing.
For brows, Anastasia Brow Gel is the best of the best.
Mascara, I only use Buxom. Love it.
For shadows I order pallets from BH Cosmetics. They're super pigmented (think Mac, but a quarter of the price).
Brushes, I use Sephora brand, or BH Cosmetics. Walgreens does sell some pretty good ones, but I can't remember the brand.
I also order the highlighting and contouring pallet from BH Cosmetics.
I love Too faced eye liner- that shit isn't going anywhere.
If you like pigment for eye shadows- Mac or two faced is good. If you like lighter shadow- or like layering it - Naked pallets by Urban Decay is the way to go. I use Urban Decay for day look and too faced for night time.
I like "they're real" by benefit for mascara. I also like Chanel mascara if you've got the $$$
I'm interested to hear about BH Cosmetics sstwinklinglites- who are they and are their colors spot on or run dark or light to the pictures?
I also love Ultas tinted moisturizer. It's cheap and they have an illuminating one that's awesome.
At sephora they can scan your skin and pull your match for foundation. I don't use brushes except for shadow. I think sponges are best for foundation.

I feel like I need a makeover - wardrobe, make up, hair (as long as it's not too difficult). I wish I could start over with my wardrobe. My clothes fit differently after LO and somethings don't even fit. This could be an expensive endeavor.
I tried one of those on-line things where you can change your hair color on an uploaded picture and the one that looked best with my skin tone was the one I have now. Maybe it's my office lights.
I can also tell you not to waste money on mac foundation- I hated that stuff. I also don't Like the "makeup forever" brand or bare minerals or Clinique. I think their stuff is crap but I'm sure some folks may like it. Also no to Stila.

becole - I discovered BH Cosmetics through YouTube. They're a no animal testing cosmetic line, might be a German line because they have an office there, and one here in the US. I've had a great experience with their products. They're colors are pretty spot on. Maybe a tad lighter than what you'd expect, but not so much that you have to heavily layer it on.
I second using sponges for face. I have a beauty blender and a flathead foundation brush. I like the brush for getting the product on, but the sponge for smoothing things out, and for under eyes.

+1 for no Stila & no Clinique. I only like Mac for shadows and lips, nothing on my face though. I do like Bare Minerals powders, but not shadows or anything else really. I like to use their Mineral Veil Powder to set my makeup.

Anyone have experience with Too Faced? I was thinking of getting the Primed and Poreless primer.
-I definitely want to check out the foundation machine, with my luck there won't be a match.
ETA: posted too soon. - +99 for no clinique, I don't have sensitive skin, but for whatever reason, my skin doesn't do well with anything clinique.
- a beautyblender sponge is on my 'must have" list. I've never used one, but the results I've been looking at are amazing. I hope I like it because I'm not a fan of the small triangle sponges.

@mrscatfatmer13 - Sephora sells their own brand of beauty blender, but for like $2.00 you can get one at TJ Maxx. They have all shapes and I find they do the job just as well as the Beauty Blender brand.
WTF DH? Don't effing asking me to wake you then go back to sleep all three times I wake your ass. Guess what? Now I'm going to let you continue snoring, and you'll be late.
DH does something similar. He just keeps hitting snooze, making me miss out on precious sleep because of his alarm going off every 5min for at least a half hour. It drives me crazy. that's actually going to be my WTF for today, actually!
WTF I'm missing so much being out of town. Also, DD Why do you keep having little tantrums when you don't get your way?!?! Seriously I think she's too young for this, I might be in trouble during toddler and teenage years.
Love all the makeup suggestions. I love the Mac studiofx powder but do not like the liquid. For concealer I actually really like the maybelline instant age rewind eraser, it's got a little spongy tip and is really easy to apply.
