Did anyone use the napper attachment on their playard for overnight sleeping? I was going to but am now laying here at 2am worrying that it's not a good idea... This is my third baby but my other two are teens and I bed shared with both of them so have absolutely no experience with this. Hell they didn't even MAKE these then.

Usually it says on the product description (online) if it's suitable for overnight sleeping. I don't think it would be suitable for long, as soon as baby can roll over or grab on to things it would probably be too shallow. Very cute pack n play btw! Our carrycot for the stroller/travel system is approved for overnight sleeping, that might also be an idea to look at?

Thank you! I'll look online. Pretty sure in the manual it just stated that it could be used for 2 months or until baby is rolling over bug I don't recall anything about wether or not it was intended for only napping. I'll dig it out of the filing cabinet tomorrow and reread it. I think it's the name "napper" that is throwing me off... If I remember correctly, LO only "naps" for the first few weeks anyways and is up every 3-4 hours or so.

To my recollection, there was a thread about it on the other site and consensus was it was fine during the day when the baby was being closely monitored but not for overnight...? But I really can't remember-- @sugahcookie may have more info I believe.
For what it's worth, we bought the same play yard, more or less, with the intention of keeping it downstairs during the day for naps. We have a separate bedside bassinet for nighttime.
I don't know what brand that one is, but I had been wondering the same thing about the Graco one that I have which is nearly identical in terms of function. I checked mine out on the Graco site and this is what it has listed for the different inserts.
Recommended Use Napper for use only for infants under 3 months of age and unable to roll over. Bassinet for babies under 15 lbs. and unable to push up on hands and knees. Playard for children unable to climb out, under 35" tall.
I think I have a similar one... I wasn't planning on using the napper because it was too hard to get out! Those metal pieces are hard to push!! We got our for trips in the summer anyways, so he'll be bigger.

I remember the discussion too and the concensus was to use it for actual naps during the day. The firm, raised mattress is the bassinet that they sleep in at night.
I'm with ambz06060 the metal pieces are ridiculous to undo. It also made me worry and this could be a FTM thing, but we are supposed to keep everything out of the crib except a sheet so the napper made me nervous. (I was going to use it for him to sleep in at night so after our discussion on the bump I have nixed that plan and taken the napper out in favor of the bassinet option)
I used the napper frequently with my girls, I'd put one in the napper and one in the bassinet portion because they weren't really able to sleep together too well. I had the PNP out in the living room so it was only for daytime use, but as a newborn when they can't roll over I don't personally see an issue with using it overnight. If you're worried just use the bassinet portion for night and the napper during the day.
