I asked my OB at my 20 week appt last week if my movement (especially stretching overhead) could affect LO or wrap the cord around his neck. I knew it was silly to ask but boyfriend's family all told me not to reach too high or I'll hurt the baby. So I asked and my OB thankfully didn't laugh, just confirmed that no, nothing I do can prevent LO from tangling himself up if he wants. Hearing a dr say it eased my irrational worries though!
Ok stupid question...that can qualify as silly right? Why on my tapatalk app do people show up one way and on my computer they show up another way? (I specifically am thinking of naria and ramy)
Or am I the only one who is having this happen?!
ETA: Ramy is ramy on my phone/Honeylemon here Naria just shows up as admin on my phone/Naria here
(Please tell me if I am just fucking losing my mind too)
I have the same issue; you are not losing your mind!

Strange. Ramy shows up as honeylemon on both of mine. And naria shoes up as admin on both too.
The tapatalk app shows user's actual usernames. If you wanted to tag ramy here you would have to use @ ramy, if you wanted to tag naria here you would have to use @ admin. On the actual site their display name is shown. Most people's display name and user name are the same but you can always change your display name. Hopefully that makes some semblance of sense.
I don't remember where I read it but I did look into it and remember it being like late April/early May which sucks for all us May moms!
Well crap. That sucks.
I know and I'm confused. The info is all in the SSA database it's not like they have to go and gather it. Why does it take 4 months to compile it after all these years. You would think they would have the automated by now. Unless maybe hospitals have a few months to submit their data or something?
Yeah in my US the cord goes straight up in front of LO's face. He also keeps his hands up by his head like he's boxing. If anything, my worry would be him grabbing it and like, clamping it lol
I worry about the cord too sometimes. He was holding it at our 17 week elective u/s and my DH was freaking out! {[possible] trigger warning} DH was a twin & his twin brother passed away from a cord accident at birth - so he's constantly worried about it
I'm worried about cord placement too DS had his pinched and it was affecting his heart rate which lead to my induction and eventual c-sec. Not trying to worry any of you further, just stating that even as an STM I'm worried
Here is my stupid question- after sex I am feeling so much pressure in my lady parts. Its been a few hours, and the pressure is still intense. I feel like I did at 39 weeks pregnant. Normal or weird? I never have the feeling of pressure typically, so I dont think its the position of the baby.

Yeah that's normal. Sex can cause BH too so if you feel muscle tightening/spasms that's why

Thanks.... just add this to the list of reasons I generally dislike sex during pregnancy
Oh, I have one. I know you're not supposed to sleep lying on your back. But what about lying in bed reading or watching TV? Like if you're propped up (not sitting but your head/upper back is elevated) is that okay? I've googled but not found much info other then don't sleep on your back.
About half my movement that I've been feeling is spasmy like feeling. My boss mentioned it could be hiccups. Could it be this early? I don't remember feeling any last time and I got to 26 weeks. Do they feel different later on?

If you're comfortable, it's fine. It's likely the baby will make it uncomfortable sooner rather than later.
Wait, is it okay to sleep on my back if I'm comfortable, or no?

The only hiccups I remember feeling with DD were so obviously hiccups that it makes me lean towards no but I could be wrong. The only ones I really remember were later in my pregnancy and you could literally see my belly jump to the rhythm of hiccups. Or I could feel them on my bladder

I completely forgot about this. I think it was a super old theory or old wives tale. I used to teach a Zumba class at Curves and it had some older ladies in it. I can't remember if some of them were either freaking out and/or just couldn't believe that my doctor was allowing me to teach.
Wait, is it okay to sleep on my back if I'm comfortable, or no?
Yeah - I tend to fall asleep on my side and wake up on my back. Your body will let you know if you need to move long before it does any sort of damage
The vena cava is a major vein that runs along the right side of your body. Once your uterus gets larger and heavier, when you lie on your back it compresses the vein. This can make you pass out as it is reducing blood flow. Your body kicks into action though when necessary. I almost passed out during my a/s because I was flat on my back and both babies were on the right side. I sat up and was fine. She gave me a little extra elevation afterwards so I wasn't completely flat so I was fine too.
Do you all plan to buy new toiletries for your hospital bag, or just throw your current ones In when the time comes? Should my bag be ready to just grab and go or is it normal to add things to it when the time comes?
I just threw toiletries in at the last minute, but I had a check list in the bag in case I was in a rush or needed DH to grab and pack the items. Same thing went for phone, phone charger, etch. Besides that, the bag was packed and ready to go about 2 weeks ahead of time.

Can anyone explain what BH feel like? Is it sharp pains? Or is it like the whole stomach tightening feeling?
They felt like my stomach turned into a turtle shell. It sounds dumb, but its the best way to describe the feeling I got. Luckily I didn't get them until like 35wks with my son. I haven't had them yet this time around.

Ok, this is going to sound stupid, sorry! Last night we were at an event and they had free tarot and Palm readings there. I'm not one that typically does that kind of stuff, but it was free. Also, side note, I am quite interested in astrology but haven't learned a whole lot about it yet.
So my question. At the end of the reading, the guy asked if we had names picked out and he said if it's a boy, it's a Declan, hands down. But if it's a girl, Nora won't work. He said it is a terrible name for a Taurus and that she would be very confused and unhappy. So I did a little digging, and found some good "Taurus names" that were similar to a name that I loved years ago, Tana!
Do you think it matters? Opinions on Tana? My thought is to ignore it, but if it's a girl and I name her Nora and she's miserable and lost, I'm going to blame myself! (I know this makes me sound crazy...)
