I'm thinking about calling DH to come home this afternoon from work. I have a terrible cold but I really just want to escape from my stage 5 clinger....
1. I have no idea what AW actually stands for, but have been too lazy to google it and too embarrassed to ask. 2. DH sleeps in the guest room pretty often because he snores a lot. In my face. I used to feel guilty when he left in the middle of the night but now I starfish in the bed and always sleep better.
I dont like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Or any combination of them. (just peanut, just jelly, peanut butter and banana). How do you get it to not stick to the roof of your mouth??
I"ve never washed my car seat cover either. Never even thought about it to he honest.
I haven't brushed my teeth yet today..yuck. It's 11am here.
I have a girls day/night tomorrow starting at noon. It's a sleep over and there will be 11 of us there. I can't wait to crack my first beer the minute I walk through the door. I know there will be some pot there, too so I'm really looking forward to that!!

That's sounds fun!! But that's a lot of girls in one place! Haha

That's not even all of us, some couldn't make it this weekend. We started going away for a girls weekend about 18 years ago and at one point there was 20 of us. Some have moved away and a few others decided to stop coming..for dumb reasons. Doesn't matter because all the cool kids will be there
You ladies make me feel better, I though I was the only person who didn't wash it regularly!
We have had MANY diaper blowouts occur while DD was in her carseat so I can only imagine how dirty it was. I had never thought about washing it until I saw it mentioned on of the boards a couple weeks ago.

I didn't wash the car seat cover until DS was done using it (we used it for a year with him). It's already been washed twice for DD since because apparently she's messier than he was.
I can't remember the last time I washed a paci for DD. They get interchanged with the ones she has at DC and they soak them daily, so I can't remember the last one I washed.

I don't want to give DD cow's milk when she turns 1. I don't want to pump to do BM, either. So I guess I will just have to suck it up and give it to her. I just read so much on how bad milk is for you, I wish it wasn't this standard thing.

I haven't read much about it - care to share what you have looked into?
Do they really have to have milk? Are there other alternatives?

I am wondering what is so bad, and what sources are saying that.
Our pedi suggested to us that we not start cows milk until after two, only because we noticed that when I was BF and had dairy (or when he had regular formula) he was much more congested. When we switched to formula only, we chose a dairy free one, and all of the symptoms dissipated. I was the same way when I was younger. Pedi suggested a milk alternative like soy, almond, coconut.

You just made a lightbulb go off in my head. DS1 drinks a ton of milk. He is also rather constipated. I'm going to try giving him some of the almond milk I drink b/c DS2 reacts when I drink wcm. Thank you!
I regularly call out DH on paying attention to his phone rather than the kids. The other night DS1 was holding his leg and saying he loved him and DH didn't respond b/c he was reading something on his phone. It broke my heart and I totally called him out on it.
But I have my head in my phone way too much too. I don't know what I've missed because of it. So I'm a total hypocrite.

I don't really think they do. I can't imagine almond milk is a good replacement.
This isn't really a scientifically sources article, but here is one that I just happened to have on a link that I sent DH last week. I've only dug into it a little, so am still doing research, so maybe my milk will change again.

I am the same way, I really don't want to give DD cow's milk. I pumped for 2 months but DD is on soy, so i'm not sure if I will continue giving her soy milk. I love almond milk and I would love for her to have it. I know it's not good for babies to drink but I'm not sure after age 1, prob not.
Not to start a controversy because I still drink cows milk occasionally, but the above link is so true. Cows milk is terrible. I forget what I read but it always stuck with me. Every mother's milk serves a purpose for their child. For human babies during the first year brain development is crucial and breastmilk/formula are meant to help foster that brain development. For a calf they are supposed to gain 8x their weight before they ween, so for the mother cow the main purpose of her milk is for weight gain. I'm not saying this is a contributing factor to obesity, whatever.. i'm just thinking that it really does make sense. Humans are the only species that drinks the milk of another animal. It's crazy stuff when you stop and think.
ETA: Not to mention all the nasty stuff that actually is in cows milk, but I won't get on my soapbox lol. I really need to get back to my veg/pescetarian lifestyle.. i'm grossing myself out.
When you say car seat cover do you mean what goes over the car seat or the actual car seat material? If it's the latter I've never washed ours.... I don't really have an FFFC other than I'm letting LO play in his crib right now so I can watch a bit more Downton before going to get him.
I meant the actual car seat material that covers the plastic/foam underneath.
