I love our baby bjorn, and it's made out of the athletic mesh so it breathes, and it has a back support panel that helps as well. LO is getting too heavy for any kind of long-term front carry, however, so I don't think we'll be using it much longer.
We used the baby bjorn at Disney in December and it was great! It was good when we were standing in the queues and for keeping LO close when we were on the rides themselves.
We are going to Disney this week with Parker. We are definitely taking the stroller but we also have. Bjorn One that has fixed the hip issues and can be forward rear or facing or you can back carry. It's the mesh fabric so a little more breathable. I also like it because its adjustable so my husband and I can both use it. I can let you know how it goes with a stroller and a carrier when we get back.
Yes! I would love to hear all about it!
I guess I should have added at the top another thing I think would be important: The ease of getting LO in and out.
I figure if I plan to wear her if we are waiting in line, I'd like it to be easy to get her out when the time comes to get on the rides. That's not a deal breaker though, I can always start taking her out when we are getting near it but still, love to hear how it works out!!
I just realized I never let you know how our trip to Disney went with the carrier and stroller....both were definitely useful for their own reasons. We used the stroller most of the time, but we were glad to have the carrier too.
Are you staying on property? The carrier was great for the busses and long lines for the rides. We used it basically whenever the stroller would be too bulky (our stroller is really large). It was also great to have at the airport when we were waiting to board. We can get him in and out of our Bjorn pretty quickly which is definitely a plus.
The stroller was good for walking around the park, holding our stuff, and for naps. He wouldn't have liked being carried all day. There are plenty of places to park strollers and we didn't have any issues with people messing with it.
If you have any other questions I would be happy to share any other experiences we had while we were there!
The boba totally intrigues me. I love my wrap and it does fold up well, but this looks like something the hubs would use. I also did a quick search and found this list of good carriers for traveling. The boba is on it, but so are some others to look into.

We are staying on property (AKL) and I feel like our stroller is pretty big too, we have a city mini. I ended up getting the Boba Air for DDs Easter basket so I need to try it out but I feel like it will be good to just keep in the stroller, it zips up into a little pouch which is great!
I've been to Disney my whole life, but never with a kid - we're trying to figure out what will happen if DD falls asleep in the stroller for the night .. we will have a car so I'm afraid the jostling of putting her into the carseat and back out at the hotel will screw up her sleep. I thought we could just take her on the bus in the stroller home (my parents are going so they can take the car back) - but I feel like there will be tons of people on the buses.
How did you work around you DS's schedule, we're you back in the room at night early for his bedtime??
littlemissmarla let me know how you like the Boba Air! That's then one I put in my Amazon cart. I have the boba wrap and love it so I know I like the Boba brand...
I will! I attempted to put DD in it yesterday but she was getting all pissed off.. I think I need to play with it first before I bother her haha.
I'm in love with my boba air! What color did you get?
I got the gray! I really wanted the black but I figured being in the FL heat it would prob be a disaster.
Is the bottom supposed to hit at your waist or on your hips??? I feel like it kept riding up on my waist and almost felt more secure around the top of my hips.. but I never got DD to stay in it long enough to see if that was right.
When I wear him on the front I wear it lower on my hips, if he is on my back I put it higher up. I have the blue and really like it. Hope she loves it!

I'm drunk and adding baby carriers to my Amazon cart. I blame you for this list :-P
Haha, I'm looking at this now too. I successfully for the first time ever wore LO around while shopping on Friday. Apparently he likes the Boba now that's he's bigger. It was just SO FREAKING HOT that I figure if it's that way indoors with AC in April, then I'll about die in the Caribbean in May. So must look for something cooler!
Does anyone know if they make carriers that are meant to get wet? We spend a lot of time at our neighborhood pool/kiddie pool but I still have to be pretty hands-on (or at least ready to grab) with my boys. I was just thinking that a carrier might be the way to hold DD and still be accessible enough for the boys.

I don't know if this is helpful or not because I have an Ergo, but I wear it around my hips, right where you can feel the hipbone in the front.

They do make water ring sling and wraps, you can easily make a no sew water wrap from athletic mesh found at Joann fabrics for super cheap! I belong to a diy babywearing group on fb and they have tons of good ideas!

Thanks. I belong to one of those local groups too but no one has mentioned. I'll ask!
mamanorris I've only ever used a SSC. What's the learning curve like for figuring out wrap carries? My hand eye coordination isn't great. If I can't braid hair, can I wrap my baby securely enough to get in a pool?
I don't think wraps are super hard, you can find a lot of great videos on YouTube. Also if I am going out and about with the Moby I will tie before I leave the house so I am not dragging the ends on the dirty parking lot.

This! I always put my wrap on before leaving the house. It makes things way easier.
mamanorris I have a boba wrap- the instructions only come with front carry options. I found a video for a side carry- have you ever done a side or back carry with a wrap?
I'm going to chime in on this one. I've done side and back carry with my wrap. Side is pretty easy (basically just shifting over the front carry I use). I'm still working on the back carry. Definitely doable, it just takes practice.
Is the boba wrap stretchy? If it is I don't think you can back carry with with, if LO arches their back they can fall backwards. I just have a stretchy Moby wrap but I want to get to the fabric store to make a wrap.

It is! I may stick to the side carry then. I really need an easy on wrap for Boston because I'll need to be able to get her on quick to take the pups out a few times a da
Yeah not the easiest to get and expensive but I've heard they are worth it. There is a store near me that sells Tulas. I'm gonna try one on. I can't figure out a back carry with my mei tei and think maybe it would be easier with a Tula.
Tulas resale are crazy too. Hard to find prints sell for crazyyyy $$$$. If you want a non hard to find print (new) let me know and I can mail it to you from the store here. I think ordering from Tula directly is a few wwwk wait.
Nope. I just zippered my coat around Dd when she was small enough. Sometimes i just tucked the top corners of a blanket into the ergo straps where that cover would have attached.
I can't even imagine wearing both. I put them both in the moby when they were infants.
I bought a really nice ring sling, but can not figure it out. I need help.
I have worn my now 3 year old and the baby together, when done correctly it's not too bad. Go to YouTube and watch skme videos and then practice while watching the video.
