My MIL is visiting today from Texas. This is the first time she gets to meet her granddaughter so I'm happy for that. It's also the first time she'll see me since her son and I ran off and eloped without telling anyone... she was not happy about that. Hopefully she'll be too excited to see Aylah to be mad haha.

Best night's sleep yet (7:30-2:40-6:45). And this morning, all the fussiness. Hanging out in pjs waiting for the indoor playgrounds to open so DS can run off his crazies.
LO is consistently sleeping 5-6 hour stretches. I'm finally starting to feel human again! I always thought 4.5-5 hours of sleep at night was a bad night of sleep. It's amazing what you adjust to when you really need to. I'm feeling pretty good today and I'm looking forward to getting out of the house with my husband this afternoon. My dad is coming to watch LO while we go see his brother in the hospital. I'm not excited to see him in the hospital, but I am looking forward to grabbing a baby free lunch beforehand. Also on an unrelated note, I finally finished my thank-yous and got birth announcements ready to send out! Now I can get back to some hobbies I've been putting off without feeling guilty.
H and I dtd again last night. It's been really nice having my sex drive back! Lol We're using the "pull and pray" method until I get my iud put back in but I'd like to start using condoms. We both hate them and haven't used them for 10 years, but I know we are playing with fire. Anyone have any recommendations for a brand that doesn't feel like there's a plastic bag in my vag?
kml218 We're using the same method, lol. We want another fairly soon so I'm not worrying about bc for now. My only hope is that I don't concieve in March-April, as I'd prefer not to have another one so close to the holidays (or like LO, on a holiday!). I want my kids close in age because my sister and I were and we had so much fun together. We are closer than ever now, and I would love for my kids to have that.

So the past 2 nights I've noticed that all of a sudden S wants to go to bed about 7:30. So I've been getting him ready for bed then, with him finally being asleep in bed by 8. But now we've gone from sleeping 11pm-5, very nice hours, to 8-12, then 12-3. Then this morning 3- 6:30 right when I needed to be taking my shower. Grrrrrr......
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
hazelnut my H and all of his brothers are close in age and he loved it too. We've discussed me not going back on BC and seeing how things go, but financially it would be very hard to care for another child the way we want to.
Good luck with your timing! Just so you know, February babies are super cool and grow up to be really awesome! And I'm not just saying that because that's my birthday month
Speaking of an IUD, I talked to my doctor about that yesterday, and I would want Mirena because the idea of shorter / lighter periods is appealing. But I've read that it affects milk supply for some people (although my doctor said it doesn't), so I might do the mini pill first as a test. It's the same hormones, so if I can take that and keep nursing, Mirena should be fine. If my milk supply drops, I may get a copper IUD, but that one is not as appealing because you still get periods like before. Decisions...
In other news, DH went to a work dinner last night and brought me back steak, Mac and cheese, and cheesecake. That was my breakfast, ha ha.

Got my IUD put in yesterday at my 6 week check up, looking forward to lots of sexy time now! Especially since LO has been STTN and I actually feel like having sex LoL Funny moment at my appointment, my midwife had DH feel of the strings (outside my body) for my IUD because she said, "I want you to know they might poke you (DH) and I don't want you to freak out. I mean, she had a baby for you man... If it hurts a little, just tough it out, they will soften up after a few times." I laughed so hard and DH made a priceless face.

I got Mirena yesterday and my midwife said it was safe for breastfeeding moms.
tomorrowisanotherday, my doctor said that too. She said the hormones are only in the uterus and not in the breast milk or the rest of your body. But my LC said she would recommend the copper one because some moms say it has affected their milk supply (although I haven't been able to find medical proof of that either way). My milk supply is already low and very fragile (like with DS1, I completely dried up when I started my period), so that is why I'm overly cautious.
What's the deal with the strings? Can your H feel them? It seems like that would be uncomfortable or dangerous.
I got my Mirena put in last Monday, and I've been spotting ever since...so no sex yet lol. I'm actually kind of annoyed that I'm still spotting and wondering how long it will take to stop/regulate.
Speaking of IUD, my H was like, "So, why did you do the IUD? I thought we were going to try for #2 sooner rather than later." WTF? lol NO. Yes, we have a VERY easy baby thus far who sleeps very well - that doesn't mean I want to be pregnant again anytime soon. I told him that the earliest I'd want to try again is when LO is 18 months and he seemed okay with that. lol.
So hungry but baby is asleep next to me and dh is playing with Ds 1 in the living room and doesn't know I'm awake... So do I get food or enjoy being lazy ?

I'm getting my iud on the 12th. I had it years ago, and I didn't have a period for 3 years! I only got my period after it was removed so we could get pregnant. It. Was. Amazing! I'm hoping I won't have a period at all again.
kml218 & hazelnut, I'm playing with fire too. Started using condoms and then stopped. We both enjoy it more without them but each time after we're promising god we won't do it again. But yeah, ideally I'd like to wait until the end of the year to get pregnant.
We had ice and snow this morning. I thought I'd be smart and wait traffic out so still be late for work but not stuck on the expressways. Well, once I went to start the car and saw it encased in ice I said forget about it. Now I'm trying to work from home with baby leo. So far he's been good.

I had Mirena for 6 years (I had it replaced once). The strings aren't bad. They hang out slightly so that the OB can remove it. I would check periodically in the shower to make sure I could feel them so that I knew it didn't move. My H did feel them every time we had sex but the only time it hurt was the first couple times after it was implanted. He said it felt like a little prick at the tip if his penis. I told him it was a small price to pay to be child free lol. They are pretty stiff at first but they do soften and curve to the shape of you're cervix so your H won't feel them all the time.

I didn't get my period when I was on it either! It was awesome!! I forgot how much money tampons and pads were until we started trying for Z! lol I had 1 period and it sucked!
littlelion we're playing with fire too. I've had migraines for years and they completely stopped when I went off the pill. There's no way I'm going back on it!
@littlefoote my lo makes noises that sound like a giggle in his sleep. He smiles when he does it. Cracks me and dh up. It's totally adorable, but kind of a creepy sound.

LO is sleeping well at night but these little cat naps of 10-30 minutes wear me out. I was able to do a yoga video and just as I started to think about lunch he woke up. I need food.

I was told I could have irregular spotting all the time. But so far I had spotting when it went in for a day or 2, a week of nothing and now going on 2 weeks of spotting. I'm pretty annoyed by it as well!
Also, is it possible for a two month old to giggle? I thought that didn't start until a little after three months (that's how my older two were!). LO started to giggle earlier, and then just woke up, smiled really big, and let out the beginning of a giggle! It was so precious! But I'm not sure if it was just a fluke?
I've had a few giggles. Little ones and one was in his sleep. I don't know what the books say but he will be 2 months tomorrow and I he has!
Also plan on doing the "pull and pray" method over here. We haven't dtd yet (6 week appt today), but don't plan on using any BC. I got a rare side effect last time I was and my former obgyn told me that will most likely always happen with any BC.
I got projectile vomited on for the first time last night. That was a fun experience. DH was annoyed when I called him in to help me, he was working on a work project. As soon as I told him what was wrong, he apologized and took care of LO while I cleaned myself up. I think he's beginning to realize it's a constant juggling act, being a SAHM.
Then I woke up this morning to find the cat threw up all over LO's tummy time play mat. It's not even noon, and I'm so done with today. I need more coffee.
So hungry but baby is asleep next to me and dh is playing with Ds 1 in the living room and doesn't know I'm awake... So do I get food or enjoy being lazy ?
Text your H to bring you some food. Get food AND enjoy being lazy.

Shoot I got up and made pancakes for ds1, I feel like he thinks I'm neglecting him... But they were delicious and I'm back in bed while dh reads him a book

To those doing the pull and pray method, that is how the dictator was conceived. DH isn't touching me until I get my IUD (we may use condoms initially though).

Wonder why doctors have to have differing opinions and make us worry? I'm sorry She said he might feel the strings the first couple times we DTD because it takes time for the strings to "soften and tuck themselves behind your cervix" (her words). I'll let y'all know what he says
