Gathering Those Who Were, Um... "Left Behind"

Should we try to gather up the few people left on TB from J12?  I know Hijoi was having 2nd thoughts about joining us here, and I will respect that.  Its totally her choice, but I think we'd miss her.

There are a few other people who have no idea whats going on, and I don't want to leave anyone who may want to jump ship.

What do you guys think?  How should we go about that?

As someone who is extremely hit or miss in my posting, and who just happened to have some spare time around the time all this went down, I know I would've been really sad to come back one day to find everything gone. I found my way fairly easily even without formally being given a link, but I think some sort of invitation to let them know they're still welcome to come over would be nice.

I was hesitant to even join here because I figured it would blow over and I didn't want two boards to manage. If the move is final, I think it'd be nice to let people on the fence know there's no hope of a return.

Of course! I'm not sure how we will know who doesn't know, but if they are a part of J12, then they are welcome here.

I agree that it would be nice to know where everyone went. I think it is important for them to know that so many people made the move and it is (close to) the same community that we left. I know that I would have been less likely to move over here if only a few people made the move. Obviously we are not all here, but I do believe the majority of people are here.

Hopefully they're done IP banning without even one warning. It would be a lot less trouble.

I am guessing it actually wouldn't be that big of a deal anyway. It's not like we have huge lurker traffic there, I doubt the admins are like oh gotta check July 12 first thing this morning! So basically as long as it's not reported we're good. It's really up in the air what's happening there with the mods anyway, and I have a feeling if MM and I both step down they'll leave it mod less. But I bet the whole mod arrangement will be changing, maybe drastically.

I do think that it is great for everyone to come over and that noone should be left behind. That said, I will not be one that gives in to attention seeking, "poor me" behavior about the move. J12 is not about one person.

I am either PMS-ing or knocked up but my patience is thin today with people which is not like me. Damn hormones.

When my other bmb switched to proboard the mods made a master list of old and new screennames and made it a post. That way everyone had access to it.
