At 5:50 last night my water broke in true tv/movie fashion (pop! and gush) DH left work and my mom braved the winter storm to get me to the hospital. Contractions started during the car ride in. I was checked for dilation and was shocked to already be 5cm. I was taken to L&D and started on my first round of antibiotics bc i was GBS+. My epidural order was put in and no joke the guy was in my room in 10 mins. Next thing i knew it was 10:20 and i felt pressure. I was checked again and was fully dilated. My OB had a discussion w me. I could push now or i could try to hold off for two hours so i could get my second round of antibiotics. I decided to give it a try since it was important to try to protect DD2. At 12:30 my nurse rushed in w my second bag and they started prepping me. First round of pushes: head out. Second round: baby out. A whopping 5 mins total of pushing. This labor experience was drastically different from my first and i am so thankful. The only thing they have in common is a 2nd degree tear (whomp whomp) but no biggie. Emily Grace was born on 3/6 at 12:57am. 7lbs 5oz and 20in long. She is doing really well.
Thanks for the love and support you all have given me! I'll be lingering on this page to support all of you fab ladies!

Yay! So glad she is here, but sorry for your torn up lady parts! Hoping for a speedy recovery.
And, I know what you mean about the movie water breaking thing. I almost wished someone had taped me bent over with a towel between my legs in the hospital parking lot. How that much can come out of one person is beyond me.
