Hi all! My name is Shelby. I am 30 years old and currently 33 weeks along with my second daughter. My first pregnancy was text book perfect. Maybe even better than text book! This time around, I was sicker than a dog the first 5 months. 2 weeks ago today, I was admitted to the hospital for pre-term contractions. Was released after day 4 of monitoring but still having contractions and taking medication for them. Baby apparently knew something was up as they found in a growth scan that she has IUGR and my placenta is already aged quite a bit. Good news is, they have been off on my due date by a week this whole time. My OB is still considering me 34 weeks, however, they have my LMP wrong! Geeze! The high risk doc was surprised about this finding of my date being off and isn't too concerned saying she really isn't "that small". So that was reassuring. However now it is 2 doc appt's a week along with NST's. So far so good. Have my second growth scan at my high risk doc on Friday to see if she is still being nourished by the placenta. It has been a very stressful couple of weeks. She is also breech, but has some time to turn. Just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone else has gone through this same situation about the due date being off and baby not actually being small. I know the u/s's can be off but I would assume that the high risk doctor's equipment would be pretty good. Anyhoo, now I am on a cocktail of Nifedipine, baby aspirin, prenatals (duh), and extra folic acid as well as extra protein. Anyhoo, hope all of you ladies are doing well considering any circumstances! Just trying to make sure this little one cooks for a few more weeks at least!
