Ooh, can I complain about something here? I'm not really working... I'm in school, doing my masters and spend two days a week on campus. But that's kind of like working, right?
There's a little room off one of the bathrooms in the library for pumping, but it doesn't have a door and I've had a few awkward encounters the past couple pumping sessions with curious people peering in to see what the noise of my pump is. So, on Thursday, I decide to try to find a different place. The medical science building claims to have a breastfeeding room, so I walk across campus and find it. Glory hallelujah, it has a door! I go in, there's someone sleeping on the couch! I was so disappointed, I just left. Went back to my other place and hoped for privacy.
Next time wake their ass up and tell them you need the room for what it was made for!
Yes to the hating pumping amackattack. I despise it. I leave bright and early tomorrow for a three day work trip and will be pumping the whole time. I've calculated I need to pump six times a day to keep my boobs on a normalish schedule. I'm not looking forward to it. Also I'm starting to freak out about being a 2.5 hr plane ride away from my baby. I've never been away from him for more than 12 hours (and even that's only happened like twice) and I've never been further than an hour drive away. I've been crying all week because I already miss him but I haven't even left yet.
Hi Ladies - I recently joined this thread! Thanks to cgab36 for your assistance in getting up and running over here. I am not sure how to tag. Lots to learn with this new format. Wishing everyone a better week than last week!
