I know I've posted a few times about my FIL who has Parkinson's and has been really struggling this last month.
DH just received word that he most likely has 24 hours left. We had planned to drive the 5 hours down there for the weekend just to visit, but now with this news, DH is getting on a flight in 2 hours and I won't be making the trip as it's too much stress on me/baby most likely.
If you can, please say a prayer that DH makes it in time and that my FIL has a peaceful passing and that my MIL finds strength/comfort during this time as well.
Update: my FIL passed away peacefully at home late last night. DH and family were all there and able to say goodbye. Everyone is focusing on happy memories right now and cherishing the last moments they got to spend with him. Thank you all so much again for your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this difficult time.

I'm really sorry you and your family is going through this. Sorry you can't be there with your DH too. Must be hard for you to not be with him. Many T&P's.
honeybunches101 I'm so sorry to hear that about your dad. It is a terrible disease. My FIL is 81 and was diagnosed 10 years ago so he's been fighting for a long time.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear. Safe travels to your hubs and I really hope he has some time with your FIL before he passing. Hoping for a peaceful passing for your FIL. Hang in there
May he have a tranquil passing surrounded by those who meant the world to him and may his last breath bring peace and understanding to his loved ones. Light and prayers for you and your family.
Thank you all so much for the thoughts and prayers! It really is amazing how a group of women you've never met can uplift you during the toughest times.
DH made it there at 2a and has been able to spend time with his dad and family. His dad is heavily sedated but still with us. DH was even able to tell him his grandson'a name, which we for the most part aren't telling people until he arrives in June.
They have administered his last rites and now are hoping for a peaceful passing.
Tough time ahead but it is so helpful knowing how many people are thinking about us.
