Anybody else doing these? Wubby loves them, and it keeps him still long enough for me to clean and stuff. I've just been filling up a largish plastic tub (about the size of his highchair tray) with whatever I've got on hand and adding whatever little toys that seem like fun. We've done oatmeal, cornmeal, and uncooked rice as filler. Toys have included dinosaurs, farm animals and tractors, and various scoops me cups. It's a mess, though. But seriously, rice, some scoops, and a funnel bought me an hour to work on my paper yesterday while we sat and played.
Any other fun "keeping kids occupied long enough to clean something" activities ya'll are doing?

We haven't don't those a lot bc the "filler" tends to end up everywhere. And it's prob get dumped, too. But it's a v cool activity when played with appropriately.
The twins will sit and play with Legos (duplos), and we have a ton of matchbox cars and mini construction equipment, trains, etc, that will buy me some time. They'll also sit and "read books" for a long time too.
And as they closer to 2, they'll start to actually sit for a short TV show. We use TV sparingly for the big one, and the Littles are just starting to show interest.
