Aaaaaaaah mil just gave DD a 8 oz bottle because she "sucked down the first one fast". Grrrrr. Why won't people listen. I've told her that at least 5 times.

What?! 8 oz of precious booby milk?!?! I would lose my mind!!!
Can't an adult think about how their belly feels after 8 ounces of milk? And babies have a much smaller belly... It's not rocket science. They will puke.
Dear God... My 10mo old can't even down an 8oz bottle!
+1 my 10 month old still drinks 4 ounce breastmilk bottles. Did she ever breastfeed? I have had issues with my MIL bc she didn't breastfeed and thought I was starving my kid by breastfeeding him and was always trying to push supplements or more milk.

As if you didn't have enough anxiety about this stuff as a BF'ing mom...

Wow I missed so much today..we survived day one of driving to New Orleans.
I saw that story about the twins horrible :-(
AW: We got upgraded at the embassy suites to a fancy 2 room suite, DD fell asleep in her own room and me and MIL are enjoying our free wine from the happy hour. And yes it's a white wine ;-)

And my DH was listening to her... I had a rough start. My mom actually told me how proud she was of me that I was still nursing. It. Was. Rough. Next kid, I've got a big middle finger waiting for the haters.

Ok, I feel like my kid is a huge fat ass. He takes 8 oz at a time.

You're kid isn't fat. And he knows how to stretch his feedings. Does he ever drink more than 8 oz, even now?

There was a time when we weren't doing the solids as hardcore as we do now, where he would have up to 10 oz in the first feed of the day. Now he only takes 8 oz (and even that is becoming a struggle though, but only because he prefers real food). He gets three 8 oz bottles every five hours, before his solid meals.

So does mine! FF babies drink larger bottles than BF. I don't remember what the logic was behind that but when I was pumping we only did 6 oz bottles and I read that was the biggest bottle that BF babies normally get. When we switched to formula we went to 4 8-oz bottles a day. Trying to cut it down to 3 now.

The calories in BM adjust as babies get older, formula doesn't, so FF LO's need to increase their intake to get the needed calories.

after dd bath, she didn't want to get dress or put on a pull up. after 30 mins of tantrum, I just gave up and let her go to bed naked. I am sure I will regret this in the middle of the night. Hopefully this will be the night she stays dry! 3 out 7 nights she wakes up dry..crosses fingers..

In my experience, kids usually go through the "terrible twos" around 18 mo, then again closer to 3. Idk why they even call it terrible twos. But hopefully you wake up to dry sheets! Does she get up and go potty at all in the MOTN if she needs to?

She's a honker, I feel like she would eat all day if someone let her. I did a nurse-cation this weekend to try to increase how much I pump during the week (several extended naps where I co-slept) and I felt like she was productive sucking rather than pacifier sucking the majority of the time.
