From the pinned post:
Moderator Description and Agreement
1. Make sure you are aware of our very basic TOU and the climate of your own board. If your board needs more clarification as to what causes emotional harm or other details, maintain a sticky post titled "____ Board Basics.” If your board is good with the basics, no need for a separate sticky.
2. Be available to answer questions about the board and be an advocate for your members when needed.
3. Our general policy is to be transparent in our moderation of the members on the site. Be prepared to discuss the choices you make if you are asked. The idea is to have simple rules and stand behind our choices. If you are not 100% confident that you can publicly stand behind your moderation, tag an Admin or Global Moderator for help first. If you find yourself getting upset or otherwise unable to be impartial, ask for help and take a break. It happens to all of us.
4. The Moderation Board is not Fight Club— you can talk about the Moderation Board as you need to. We, however, should not reveal personal information so not to violate our own TOU. We are held to the same standards as our members., and any information that is revealed to you because you are a moderator should be respected. Basically, try not to be a jerk to your fellow mods or to fellow members.
5. As such, moderators are welcome to share opinions and disagree as normal people. We do not have to be neutral parties in discussions, but you do have to be willing to be objective when actually moderating. Be willing to moderate your friends and able to Execute the “No 1 Curr” feature when dealing with someone you do not care for.
6. The only additional requirements to be a moderator are:
a. Election of the board in question and/or approval of the Board Owner and Admins. b. Agreement to take a logistical leadership role (stickies, pinned posts, liaison to the Admins when needed) c. Willing to be an active member on your board. You can ask for coverage when vacations or busy periods pop up, or even ask the board to agree to dual moderators, but you need to be available based on the needs of your board. If your board continually needs support from others, the Admins may ask for an additional moderator or a replacement. d. Keep detailed records of any moderation done on the boards using the moderation tools on Proboards. e. Global Moderators will be selected by the Administration and must follow the same requirements of the other moderators, save elections. If a member or board moderator have an issue or concern about a Global Moderator, they will send a PM to the Admin to discuss the concerns. f. ALL Administrators, Global Moderators, and Board Moderators are volunteers and appreciated for their time and dedication to the community. However, the Board Owner can make decisions to remove or alter the moderation as needed to maintain the spirit and culture of our community. The Board Owner agrees to be as transparent as possible if these alterations become necessary.
How Warnings, Bannings, and IP Bannings Will Work 1. Moderators are instructed to err on the side of less moderation rather than more. If the “No1Curr” rule can be used to deal with a situation that arises, we plan to use that instead of active moderation.
2. If a TOU is violated, moderators have the ability to edit posts, delete posts or threads, warn posters for violations, or ban posters for violations. The Board Owner may also IP ban, but only Administrators will be able to use this feature. The general rule of thumb is to do the least amount of moderation needed to follow the TOU.
3. Serious and egregious violation of TOU may result in an instant ban without previous warnings. Some of these more serious infractions include but are not limited to, malicious revealing of personal information, direct and pointed threats, and fraudulent representation of self to gather information to cause harm.
4. Other violations of TOU may incur a warning. A poster who commits four TOU violations within one year will be banned. The third warning will be a “final warning” and contain language that any further violation within a one year time period will result in a ban. Moderators will keep good records of warnings with dates and descriptions, including evidence such as links or specific language as much as possible.
5. Warnings only last one year and expire from consideration for a possible banning after that time has past.
6. If a poster feels that an error was made in moderation directed at them, whether editing, deleted, warning, or banning, that poster can talk to the Moderator in question and/or speak to a Global Moderator or Administrator about the issue.

Foxy is #mymod.
I don't see the need for too much modding over here. I'm guessing we aren't going to be getting too many drive by posters, so I think dramaz is going to be at a minimum. I mean at this point we know each other well enough I think?

In the event that Foxy has to go on vacation or takes a break do we want to decide on back up mod? Or cross that bridge if we need to? Again, I kind of think that at this point we are going to be mostly well behaved.

My understanding is if the mod isn't available, the global mod steps in. I assume we really aren't going to need much modding, besides occasionally cleaning up spam, kinda the way it was at that other place.

Pretty much this. I don't think you really had to mod much over there right? I'm thinking this will be even easier!

Nope. Every so often I deleted spam. I don't foresee a major shakeup here.

Hhahha, oops. I was just coming over here to ask your opinion. Because of today's events, a few of the Bump mods were made moderator here, as there are lots of mods moving over. I was going to make a poll to make sure this is ok. If you guys don't want me to mod, I understand, this is all of our board, that we are all creating from the ground up. So let me know how to proceed.
