So, given that at least three rational members of this group have had SS thoughts, what about a weekly "Post your pregnancy related SS thoughts here?".

I'd be glad to start it.


Also, I'll admit I've been extremely hesitant to start a new thread here, even one of the regular daily things for fear of stepping on someone's toes and/or bc I didn't want to be THAT SS poster.

While I can't speak for everyone (maybe some people do feel a sense of ownership of threads) but I posted the daily symptoms thread on TD for a week straight when i was in EST and it was tiresome, so I think it's mostly appreciated if others step in to do it when they are thinking about it and it hasn't been done!

Is this board interested in doing labour buddies? I've never been a part of another BMB before but lurking this time and I have an IRL friend on the May board (who said we could be each other's, but I could still be someone's as she doesn't post as often anymore) I've gotten the general idea of it. It's not necessary, but would maybe get people get to know each other better. I also don't know many details to get it set up, so if there's any old regs here that know what they are doing, by all means try to organize it.

How about something with our fur babies? In my lurking, it seems like many of us have pets. I'm not sure about you all, but my hormones are constantly causing me to bump back and forth between loving them so much I could die to being so annoyed I want to kill them. Could we possibly do an occasional thread with cute pictures, stories, rants, etc?

I totes didn't mean to make you feel bad with my comment.   I was just having a SS moment and couldn't figure out what day it was on this end when I saw that.    It took me a minute to realize you are in AUS and I was not, in fact, losing my mind.

I think I've seen one on here before, but not regularly.  I have no idea who normally posts to it.

I normally start it at the start of the week but while it was getting about a dozen responses, I just wasn't feeling it. I tried to make it more lively by asking people to AW in the thread throughout the week whenever they did a workout so others would get motivation but it fizzles out by Wednesday. I'm happy for others to start it since I haven't been regular with my gym and feel like a fitness fake these days.

Used to participate in that thread back on TB, buuuut I fell off the wagon. Now that thread just makes me feel like a lazy ass. Kudos to the moms keeping it up. I'm keen on a postpartum fitness thread. Obviously not straight away but about one month later. With a focus on postpartum recovery at first, absolutely nothing to do with pressures on looks. I've been pinning exercises that will help recovery and stuff. So definitely see you on the other side. Now hand over aforementioned

I'm up for a postpartum thread as well! I did pretty good after having DD and then I lost the motivation (between moving to a new community and then a loss, exercise was no longer a priority). But I'd love to get involved after this one comes!

I think these are all great ideas. Truth be told, I feel badly because I feel like some days I try to be active and post in different threads, and others I'm completely nonexistent because my work has been kicking my butt and I haven't been keeping up with the posts. I think a PP mentioned it too, but I think just more activity overall would make the boards more lively. I know that coming here is a nice way for me to focus on my pregnancy and connect with ya'll, so I want to make more of an effort to do that. I like the idea of more GTKY posts or the buddy concept.

I totally think about the work out thread... As I skip the gym (and then I feel I'm letting you guys down). Love the idea of postpartum gym thread. And I think maybe the gym thread could morph for now into how were you active this week?
