So H & I are decided what to order for dinner, we're in between Moe's and getting chinese food. None of which are really low carb, but I'll deal. H is so indecisive it can be annoying. I told him either option were fine and to pick we've been in silence for 10 minutes.

Always Chinese food. Always.
Yes he finally made a decision and went with Chinese food, it sucks that the good chinese food place is 25 minutes away but it's so worth it.

So far I have learned I am more Tina Fey than Amy Poehler, I should be with the guy from T-Swift's music video "Style", and Jimmy Fallon is my drinking buddy.
So I'm working in a big sale at work and just got an email from the customer that she is *pretty sure* she wants the ring at our store...but saw four other diamonds today (and honestly, that's the part I care about) and has to talk with her boyfriend...who supposedly *should* be contacting me tomorrow. I haaatttteeeee not having all the information or knowing what I'm up against...and having to wait for them to contact me. This is sooo nerve-wracking. This would be the biggest sale I've personally ever made but more importantly, I NEED it to happen right now....business has been too slow with all the shitty, cold-as-fuck weather this winter.

Just curious, when is your biggest time of the year (in sales)? Christmas? Valentines Day?
I pulled out some frozen chili leftovers, but neither H or I have made a move to actually heat it up... He's playing PS4 and I'm dicking around on the internets...

Christmas. By far.
Valentine's really isn't a big holiday for us. Sometimes we get some decent sales but it's like one or two good days, which you hope to get lucky and have a couple of those every month anyway, so meh. Mother's Day is actually better, usually, as far as holidays go. Our slowest time of year is January - April. We do well in the summer because we get a fair amount of tourist business. September - November is kind of toss up. December is about 20-25% of our business for the year, and the vast majority of that happens December 15-24. Men are last minute shoppers.

My FIL was in Air Force, so we had him and my MIL walk into our wedding reception to that song. He almost cracked a smile. It was great.
That is awesome!
I actually have two FILs and both were in the service. Air Force FIL is actually his stepdad.(we like him more) H's real dad (not the fun one) was in the Navy so we played In The Navy. He didn't find it nearly as funny as we did.
In general but both. Something like 40% of engagements happen between Thanksgiving and Valentine's, so I would say I do more engagement rings around Christmas than any other time, but then again I do more of everything around Christmas.
