Tell Me Where to Go - Spring Break Long Weekend Trip?

We were in Disney on December 28th when the Magic Kingdom reached peak capacity.  They handled it was grace and efficiency from parking to line to moving through the park.  Universal offered no such cares. 

Seriously - I hated Universal's "just fucking deal with it" attitude.  If you want me to spend my money there, then you treat me with class or I'll take all my money to Disney World.

I was there the week after Thanksgiving... apparently that's the lowest point in the season.  It was amazing.  We walked on rides in both parks.  It's amazing that it was just 4 weeks before your trip and there was such a difference!

Interesting - the Saturday/Sunday we are thinking about going says it is most recommended (least crowded rating). Maybe because it's the Saturday and Sunday of Easter weekend?

We went to Gatlinburg last summer and loved it.  If you're an outdoorsy type, there's so much to do in the national park that you can skip the tourist traps.  There's a lot to do away from the tourist traps for grown-ups without 2 kids, too, but well, I have 2 kids.

^^Then I suggest your SERIOUSLY look into Savannah, GA. I just got home from there (an hour ago) and we are already thinking of booking a trip in May. And since you are outdoorsy and all, there are plenty of patios, and you can walk around the city WITH your booze. It's seriously amazing there.

I would LOVE to go to savannah, but there are no good, inexpensive flight available:( We stopped there for lunch once on our way to Hilton head and I fell in love with it! So charming. I've always wanted to go back.

I highly DON'T recommend Lake George, NY for your next vacation. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why people are so fascinated by it. It is twenty minutes from my house and a huge summer tourist trap. Unless you have craploads of money it's like vacationing at Seaside Heights (the jersey shore)
I'm originally from New Jersey so lucky me has experienced summer life in both areas.

Lake George is the locals' secret weapon to keep tourists away from the better lake we know as Sacandaga, which I understand is MUCH closer to you.  We hype up Lake George so that people don't come near our lake, that is bigger and better to boat on.  What you're saying is blasphemy!  Lake George is AMAZING and everyone should want to go there, all the time, forever.

I umpteenth Puerto Rico. I have done a couple three day trips there. I am not a San Juan fan but I fly in there and get immediately out of the area. Rincon is a great surf town. Cool beaches (and beach bars)
We go to marathon key every fall. Amazing snorkeling there although the rest of the keys I don't know about. Key west is the same for me as San Juan. A historical, cruise ship infested, dirty ,drunk fest. Good for a day but that's all I can stand.
