teraiin, my RE told me to actually stay away from high impact exercise around O because it draws blood away from other areas like your uterus and into major muscle groups, so maybe changing your exercise affected your ovulation a bit? I'm not sure.
That's interesting! I noticed my ovulation was delayed when I stopped doing the elliptical. Is elliptical technically high impact? I honestly don't really go hard core, it's more of a slow marathon for me. I do an hour with light sweat.
I wouldn't consider it high impact, but if you're raising your heart rate and sweating then your muscles are surely getting a workout and definitely getting more blood flow. To be honest, I don't think the elliptical would affect it that much, but if you're really huffing and puffing and you're are sore afterwards, then I would take it easy. I usually take a few days off around O and do yoga instead of running.

I had ovary pain a few days ago, my temp has spiked today, but I haven't been taking my temp as consistently as I should, because this month has been very busy. My boobs are in a lot of pain, and I normally get that around the time I ovulate. I just wasn't sure if it happens before, during or after.
R/R/CS: it might be a coincidence but the cycles I made myself use the elliptical or jog every day were shorter with earlier ovulation. So I'm making myself get back in the routine. Even if it doesn't help my cycles at least it's healthier for me.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to workout? To be honest... I don't really enjoy working out. I don't like getting tired, sore, and sweaty... And I feel like I never get as good of results and others. Lol! However I do p90x almost everyday and try to use the elliptical for an hour a day while listening to an audiobook.
It's probably not coincidence. I know that my cycles are absolutely shorter with a more regular ovulation date when I am eating well and working out. Definitely getting back to that now that things are settling down for me.

without a good temp record and opks, it's harder to pinpoint ovulation. But I would guess (100% guess) based off what you feel plus past cycles, that you ovulated Sunday, yesterday, or today. But that is just a guess. Typically for me, I have a dip then a high spike. But if you haven't been keeping records, it is much harder to diagnose. :/ maybe someone else has a better guess

I've been doing opks, and 2 days ago it was at its darkest color, then started fading yesterday.
I was getting so obsessed with charting, so I took a break this cycle, and just took my temp a couple of times. I know that isn't going to help my case, but I was just getting really down when temping. I couldn't sleep because I was so anxious to check my temp. So this month I'm just doing the opks

I just started at Orange Theory Fitness. I love lifting weights, but struggle to get my cardio in. Orange Theory is the best of both worlds, and the hour flies by!

My understanding was that high impact exercise and other endurance sports (like long distance running) could affect or delay ovulation. But in general, anything that helps you stay healthy, including light/moderate exercise and activity, should be beneficial for your body in general and for your cycles. I would probably count elliptical as moderate exercise.
R/R/CS: Just waiting for my O signs to start, I might have had O pain this morning but I also have a terrible GI so it could have just been the late night nachos I ate last night (whoops lol). Typically I get my O pain on CD10 anyway. Also no sign yet of good CM, and that also usually disappears today before starting to ramp up at CD10.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to workout? My method of choice is (lets be real, was) running simply because I can just walk outside and go. I actually like taking aerobics classes, on campus they were free and they were lots of fun for me. But I could walk to the gym back then, now Id have to pay for a membership and find time to go, which isn't exactly realistic.

In terms of secondary signs, it's very individual. Ovulation pain can happen before, during or after, all for different reasons. Developing follicles can put pressure on the ovary and surrounding tissue causing pain before ovulation. The egg breaking through the follicle can cause pain during ovualtion. Luteal cysts and fluid from ovulation can cause pain/pressure on surrounding tissue after ovulation. Any of these can happen. Many women are consistent in what they feel, but not always, and many women don't feel anything at all (something like 70+% of women never feel ovulation pain of any kind). That's why it's not a wholly reliable secondary sign.

You could have ovulated yesterday. For me, my O pain starts anywhere from 3 to 7 days before O (usually 3-4, the 7 day one I got sick right before O so I think it pushed it back a couple days). I never get boob pain as a symptom, so I can't speak to that.

R/R/CS: I'm starting to think I will not ovulate this cycle. I only have a few OPKs left and I'm not buying anymore for this cycle.
GTKY: I don't workout much but I have a treadmill at home that I try to get on a few times a week. Lately I have been way too lazy so I hope once it starts getting nicer outside I will be more motivated. It seems my cycles are more normal when I regularly get some sort of exercise so I really just need to do it!
R/R/CS: Stupid body faked me out. EWCM for the last 3 days, cramps on Sunday and then a temp spike yesterday. But my temp was way down this morning. Could be a fall back rise, but I've still got a TON of EWCM and usually that's gone by 2dpo.
So, I'm not sure. I told H this morning we should have sex tonight to cover our bases. If I didn't O on Sunday and I O today instead, that puts our current timing at O-4. Silly me, I gave H a blow job last night because I figured I'd already O'ed and it wouldn't matter.
GTKY: I walk. Sometimes I go running, and I always enjoy it when I do. But I find the easiest thing for me to fit into my day is a long walk on my lunch break. Preferably with someone I like to talk to. If not, I'll bring a book. I got really good at reading while walking when I was a kid and had to walk a mile down a dirt road to get home from the bus every day.

Aw man, sorry! There was a time when I had to lay off the FB for a while because it was like a baby explosion everywhere, and we weren't at the point where we were able to even start trying.
@metalmoliver totally feel you. I've been to at least 4 baby showers since we started trying back in November, and it seems like someone new is announcing their pregnancy on Facebook all the time. I sometimes find it difficult to feel happy for them when I feel so disappointed for myself. But, in hanging out here, it seems like that's a totally normal reaction and not something to be ashamed about (at least I hope so).

What is fertility yoga? I do yoga normally, but I've never heard of this! Super interested in it!
I mostly do yoga at home with a site called Yogaglo, because I don't have a lot of time to go to the gym. It is basically regular yoga with a lot of hippie BS thrown in about sending more blood to your pelvic area and opening your hips and all that. I am 0% convinced that it works, but on month 10 I am in the first-class car of the crazy train and trying all the things.
I will be checking that site out for sure.
I'm only at month 3/4 and I'm getting crazy too. I hope u get ur BFP soon so you can get off the train!

(I've lost 23 pounds and I keep hoping the weight loss will convince my body to get pregnant...) I love anything in the water the most, like aquatic aerobics and swimming. I also enjoyed taking a dance class and I like walking with my friends.

No worries! I've been on the board long enough-- I know I should be by now. I'm normally very regular, but being sick definitely threw everything off. I think I have a sinus infection now (such is my life-- two sinus surgeries later and I still get them). I need to suck it up for another week before I head back to the doc though.

No worries! I've been on the board long enough-- I know I should be by now. I'm normally very regular, but being sick definitely threw everything off. I think I have a sinus infection now (such is my life-- two sinus surgeries later and I still get them). I need to suck it up for another week before I head back to the doc though.

Awww That's too bad. Yeah I remember you saying you were sick a few weeks ago but I didn't realize it was still sticking around. you must be miserable. Definitely time to see the doctor. Temping is such a relief for me, even if I do go to the RE and get confirmation from them. Hope you get back at it soon!
