My LO has been making crazy congested sounds at night recently. Even with a humidifier blasting and fairly warm Temps in our apartment. However the Nose Frida hasn't yielded anything, except maybe the saline back out. I read that if they don't have a runny nose they don't really need to be cleared out, its just a sound new babies make. We have our 8 week tomorrow, so I'll ask, but I don't want to wait to hear feedback haha. Thoughts? She kept us both up last night with her pig sounds and arm flailing!!
I'm drinking coffee and recovering from the bat we found in our kitchen last night.
Yikes!! We had a bat in our old apartment stairwell once and it was scary as hell! We like fought to get through the hallway door. No chivalry on my husband's part lol, I still give him crap saying he would have pushed me at it to save himself.
Good Morning Ladies! I don't know why I'm in a good mood. I got to work late as usual. Baby still keeping me up at night, waking up 3xs to eat. At this rate I won't move him to the nursery anytime soon. CoffeeOnIce my LO has had all kinds of crazy congestion. First really dry, then the wet kind, now the invisible ones like you mentioned. We try the saline drops once and a while but haven't had much luck lately. I'm not that concerned, I have a drs appt next week so I'll wait to see what she says.
BabyStandish I'm with you, I hate the cold but once it gets hot and humid I start yearning for fall weather. at the moment, 85 sounds perfect.
Our convertible car seat will be here on friday! I love getting new baby stuff!
I hate spending the money, but yeah it's fun to buy new baby stuff. I need to buy a stroller. I haven't started looking yet but want one that handles well since I plan on walking with baby lots outdoors.

I'm here! I was going to make this thread, then LO woke up Been baking this morning, trying out a recipe for flourless brownies (I put protein powder in them in addition to the other ingredients.) Trying to transition DH and I to eating less carbs and sugar. We both lost weight after baby, but we both need to be healthier for LO. Going to need to change my grocery store habits and do some more recipe research, but I am excited! We are also going to be members of a local CSA this summer, so when we do BLW with C, he can have fresh, organic fruits and veggies!!

How did you get it out?? Hope everyone is ok!
One of my cats had it pinned under the foot lever on the trashcan. my husband scooped it into a bin and put it outside. No idea how it got in and I hope it doesn't happen again.

LO is finally getting back to her pre-whatever-growth-spurt-wonder-week-random-weirdo-schedule mess up, with the added benefit that she seems to be stretching her 7 hours to 8 and dropping her 5am snack. Hooray! Next step, transitioning to the crib.

Yikes! We've had that happen twice... 2 years ago we came home and found one flying around and last year we woke up to one flying around our bedroom. You deserve some Baileys or Kaluha in your coffee!
I need to go to Target and buy some formula but my co-workers are tied up right now and I want to wait until someone is available to answer the phones.
My MIL is home with DD and I'm worried that MIL is going to talk poor DD's ears off
littlelion I spent about a month looking reading reviews to find the best bang for my buck. And we went ahead with the convertible because it will save us in the end. So we only bought one infant carrier and 1 base and we will keep using that in one car and the convertible in the other. tomorrowisanotherday we got the evenflo Symphony LX. The odd thing was the price difference by color. So I didn't get the color I would have like by oh well it was cheaper. I'll let you know how we like it once we try it out. I really liked the Symphony Elite dlx but they mostly have to save features but it costs way more so we went with this one. $145 at target.
CoffeeOnIce my lo sounds like that too. My pediatrician said it's likely from running our furnace and didn't seem concerned when we mentioned it at hus 2 month appt last week. Plus we've had warm weather followed by cold, so maybe the temp change has something to do with it. Hope all our lo's feel better soon!
Lo has had another marathon sleep, too bad it was from 7pm till 3 am but I went to bed at midnight and had painful boobs keeping me up! Today ds1 has an egg hunt at mommy and me. Hopefully he gets the concept and enjoys it, I fell like at Halloween everyone just took candy and didn't make sure he had any and yes this was parents. I got chenille chicks to put in the eggs and I think I'll hold onto one in case ds doesn't find and eggs. (we're supposed too bring a dozen and take a dozen home but I'm not sure how that's supposed to work! I did set aside a red egg to bring so hopefully I can spot and hello him grab that so he gets a chick :-)
I just pumped 5 oz in 20 mins at work! That's a record. I think it might be because I looked at all the baby pics in the then & now thread. So I basically milk-jaculated to pics of all your babies. That is so creepy and gross sounding lol. But hey, it worked! 5 oz woohoo.
Related, do you change the amount you feed LO if you pump more/less, or do you feed the same amount every day? I usually pump 10-11 oz and feed LO 9-10, but maybe I should just give her whatever I happen to pump?
littlelion, we got a BOB Revolution jogging stroller and it handles amazing. We live in a city and walk everywhere - definitely recommend.
Kid refused to burp all morning but finally let out a loud belch on his own. His fussing stopped immediately, and he had a giant look of shock on his face. Welp, that's what happens when you won't burp!
I went back to work yesterday. I got a little teary eyed as I left the house, but overall did okay. LO doesn't go to daycare until next week, so it might be harder then.

thanks! I looked online and wow what a selection of strollers. It's pricey, I'll have to run it by DH. If we both used it for our workouts outside, then I'd feel better spending.
I pumped late this morning and got about 9 oz! I've been getting a little more than usual lately. I feel that since LO started feeding multiple times again during the night, I wake up feeling more engorged than before. I'll prob skip my lunch pump and pump again right before leaving work. LO gets fed as much as he wants not based on what is available. FYI. sometimes I massage my breast as I pump and get more out of it.

I worried more about LO when I left him at daycare. Now that daddy takes care of him, I worry less but its harder for me to walk out the door and leave them behind.

Aw, I'm sorry.
All the cliche things people say are usually true-- it will get easier, it's hardest on you etc...

I EP and I give lo whatever amount is in the next bag up. However I make sure to have a back up in case he wants more. Every feed is different but he usually stays within 4-6oz total per feed. The 6oz usually only happens once a day (mid morning for whatever reason).
