Going back to interviews- what's the consensus on how early you can show up? We had a girl come 30 min early and we thought that was crazy but today the girl showed up an hour early.
I think being excessively early is just as rude as being excessively late. Go find a coffee shop to hang out in if you're THAT early! I think 5-10 minutes is OK.
I agree. I've definitely been early to things because of giving extra time for commute/traffic to make sure I am not late but I either hang in my car or find a coffee shop rather than go to the interview super early.
My hair has been super static-y lately... why is that? I washed it this morning and just let it air dry, I am straightening it now and I am so full of static.
So annoying!! I normally do not care but we are going out with friends tonight. I even put makeup on! Fix me!!
Put some moisturizer on your hands and then rub your hair. Or rub it with a dryer sheet.
This. Don't put lotion IN your hair. Just rub it on your hands like your normally would then run your fingers through your hair while your hands are still a little bit moist. Stay away from your roots if you're worried about your hair looking greasy.

This explanation helps, thank you.
I already did the dryer sheet, lol. It actually helped quite a bit. Now I am just trying not to touch my hair! If it gets bad again I am trying the lotion!

Thank you! I suck at the whole explaining thing. I always either over or under explain

I also may not have been thinking hard enough about it, lol.

My hair gets super static-y during the winter. I usually switch to a heavier conditioner or I'll use a leave-in spray. This one is the shit.

Just got home. H is still at work and super cranky. I think I will have a glass of scotch ready for him when he comes in the door. That should win me brownie points, right?

Could she have taken public transit to get there? I've shown up stupid early to things because it was either an hour early or risk being late.
99.9% chance she took public transportation. But there's a coffee shop at the corner and we have a retail store on the first floor of our building she could have browsed through. I've wandered around before so I wouldn't be super early. It just seems odd to me. She was great though so we aren't holding it against her.

I make it a policy to be no more than 10 minutes early. If I'm any earlier, I wait in my car.
Showing up a half hour (or an HOUR, omg) early is just ridiculous.
So recently I've had some heart palpitations. It is a recent/new thing. I also have some muscle weakness (cold feeling in my fingers too) in my arms around the same time I have the palpitations.
Today my kidney has been hurting all day. I've had a stomachache/bug since last Thursday.
Do I go to the doctor? With my grandpa dying, the move away from DH, and losing my job I've been under a lot of stress. I usually only go to the doctor if I'm barely able to move from bed.
I would hightail it to the doctor ASAP. But I've been known to be an alarmist.

These two things together would be enough to send me to the doctor. Maybe not the ER, but one of those walk-in clinics at least.

I hate when people show up for their tattoo appointments early (I'm talking anything over a half hour) because that means MH isn't going to get to eat his lunch/dinner, or get a break at all. There's a reason why appointments are made at certain times.

Please go to the doctor. I feel like that was my life lesson for my H's gallbladder issue... his stomach hurt for two weeks and got worse and worse, and we didn't seek help as quickly as we should have.
I'm late to the party but I did wear blue today and I will be adjusting my Facebook to a blue picture tonight. I do it partly for awareness and also to support the people who live with autism or care for children with autism. One of my cousins who lives far away has 2 kids with autism and most of our family will go blue for April and I feel like it is a way of showing her we care about her and the things she faces on a daily basis. We don't get to see her ever, but I know she notices and appreciates the extra pat on the back.

W I'd go to the doctor just to be safe. Any of your symptoms alone might not be alarming but with the combo I think it would be safer to get checked out.
So I went to a walk in clinic. It closed at 730, but I was there at 715. The doctor rolled her eyes and basically said she wouldn't see me. I (obviously not feeling well) told her it wasn't 7:30 yet. She was aggravated but saw me, but my insurance wasn't accepted so she couldn't help.
I explained my issues and she told me to go to urgent care. I'm on my way there now.

She asked my symptoms and I told her and then told her my grandfather just died so I was worried about my new pains and aches. I broke down crying and she gave me a long hug.
I think I made her feel bad (unintentionally)
I'm glad you made her feel bad. I hate when people in the health industry treat people like that.
Uggghhhhhhhh. I feel so bad because I missed everything today I hate not knowing everything that's going on!! I'm sorry y'all, I'll catch up tomorrow. I hope you get better W! XOXO Night, y'all!

I have three nephews on the spectrum. I thank you for your support. We will be walking at the "walk now for autism speaks" event on April 18.
