DH and I had big plans for wine and a movie and DTD. (It's been a month, way too long!) but instead DS won't sleep. He's just screaming and I'm sitting in bed with a glass of wine watching the monitor because we've tried everything else. Rocking, bottle, Tylenol, diaper change. Nothing works. So DH is snoring away, I have to get up in 5.5 hrs for work, and no sign of sleep in sight.

Wake DHs ass up!!! You have to work tomorrow, he doesn't!
@zerozeroone, the sitting up/standing in the crib phase is the worst. DS just walks back and forth in the crib crying, it's pathetic. I ended up with a total of 3&1/2 hours of sleep last night, which I'm sure is enough to be a functional human today.
@zerozeroone, when Spencer started crib standing he couldn't figure out how to sit down. He would just stand there and whine/cry until we went in to put him down. 3 seconds later, up again. It especially sucks until they can learn to get down on their own.

C doesn't sleep anymore. She was up from 1:15-3 last night. DH and I got into an huge argument because he keeps saying well what's wrong with her...change her diaper...feed her. NO! She hasn't had a bottle ( and was sleeping through the night) since about 7 1/2 months. And there is no reason to change her diaper...she didn't poo and she has a night time diaper on.
He NEVER gets up and then he did last night and was all like well do need to do this... you need do this... how about go back to bed and stop trying to act like you know what your doing......
So flash-forward to this morning.... she woke up at 7 and he was already up and I went and got her handed her to him and before he could come up with a million excuses on why he couldn't take her I went back to bed until 9:45
My baby is asleep (thank goodness), but H is up with food poisoning (ick) so I'm awake worrying he's gonna wake up LO. Also, I have to pee and we only have one bathroom. FWP.

Next time I'd let him just do all the stuff he's suggesting you do. I know she hasn't had a bottle for awhile but there is always the chance going through a growth spurt they wake up hungry in the MOTN even if they haven't in some time. But again...tell your H he's more than welcome to try all the tricks while you go back to bed.

I hope he's feeling better. Food poisoning is just awful.
Less fun when it caught up with me an hour later. So thankful for a 4 hour nap on LOs part today so we could sleep it off! I'm holding down saltines and sprite, so I think we'll survive.
I'm up with DD rocking her even though DH is off tomorrow. Gotta love 1:30am fights because DH is tired and refuses to get up with DD. Oh, wait.....nops.....don't like that at all. So angry right now I doubt I will be able to sleep once I get her back down.

I'd be having a very serious talk with him today. That's completely unfair to you. I hope you got some rest! Hugs!

I think we were both so tired and worn out we both took things way too personally. Just one of those moments!

I am glad we aren't the only ones that have had the middle of the night arguments. DH is such a heavy sleeper he is like waking a zombie. He is not fully functional and ask me what he needs to do through the baby monitor.... Really!!!! Figure it out like I do... I don't wake you for council... It's either paci, diaper, rock her or bottle in that order.... And has been for almost 10 months. Then I am so mad I can't go back to sleep and he comes back to stumbling in the bed and starts snoring away. Then I get even more pissed.
We had a few nights last week of DS sleeping through the night. Which was amazing. Then the past few nights slept like crap. Like crying for hours, fighting sleep. I just don't get how it's one extreme to the other and just when I think it's getting better it gets worse again. Tired today.
We were up for a good portion of the night with a snotty, congested baby. We did try the Zarbees cold medicine and it seemed like it helped. He was much less congested the last few hours of his sleep.
