I started back into doing morning workouts this week and even got up an did a video this morning. I too am hoping this brings down my cycles times. Rants/Raves/Chartstalks: I bought a new thermometer this morning. My other one just takes to long to finish and by the time it is done I have to pee so bad that I am running to the bathroom (vag temper). This one say it only takes 60 seconds so we will see. I also am trying to up my water intake.

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks: I am happy to finally go here! This month is our first month TTC, last fall we agreed on April as our starting month and the wait to get here felt so long. Now that it's here I am both excited and worried.
GTKY: Do you meal plan? What's on the menu this week? Do you have go-to meals you do every week? I wish! I am pretty terrible at this. We have one or two go to meals like tacos, a pasta dish, or something on the grill each week, but then my husband ends up eating sandwiches at least two nights a week. I have been trying to work out and eat healthy so I've been having salads for dinner quite often, so on those nights he always decides he just wants a sandwich instead. We eat out quite a bit on the weekends which is something I'm hoping to cut down on.

Last cycle was my first using OPKs, and I was getting very visible lines and what I think was a + by CD 15. My lines this time on CD 15 are suuuuuper faint. It's very possible I'm O-ing even later than usual (which would make me mad), but hypothetically, if I were still going to O around CD 19-20 like I have been, is it weird for your surge pattern to change drastically? Like going from multiple days of clear lines, to maybe a few days of super faints and then BAM! positive?
Flame me if it's too early in my cycle to worry about this. I've just had 2 cycles that were close to 60 days long at the end of last year, and I'm praying that those are over with because they suck.

Rants/Raves/Chartstalks: Getting anxious about O coming up. Trying to decide how many days we need to try to HIO.

I generally have salad or leftovers for lunch every day at work. Then I usually fix one meal that we can eat on twice; this week it's crockpot pineapple chicken. Then we're usually winging it otherwise, randomly scavenging through the refrigerator and the pantry. I work out 3-4 nights a week so I don't even get home until 7 on those nights, plus DH has class on Monday nights and is busy with homework on other nights so it's hard for either of us to cook very often in addition to taking care of household duties. I do fix English muffin breakfast sandwiches for both of us every day though.

R/R/CS: This is the worst. period. ever. Usually by CD 3 I'm winding down and my period is almost over. Not this ugly lady. She's still going strong, and the cramps are so bad!! Hoping it only lasts for a few more days or so.

I feel like if you've only used them for 1 cycle, don't read too much into the pattern. Are you drinking more water or other liquids? Could your urine be more dilute? Are you taking them at different times of a day?
In general, don't read too much into the lines anyway. With OPKs they are positive or they are not. Yes, some people fade in and some others may never get a true (darker than control line) positive, depending on your body and hormones. Others get multiple days of positives.
I personally don't overanalyze negatives too much, though, because my lines were not necessarily always doing the same thing every cycle I used OPKs... I also got multiple surges in some cycles (and while waiting for a cycle at all), so I got positives with no O. If they are negative, they are negative. If I question it, maybe I will put a note.
Now, if I'm checking ALL other secondary signs and they are lining up, see a temp rise happen, and I think that line was almost as dark as the control, then I might go, "okay, that was my positive that cycle." But I feel like this is the exception - not the rule.

You're right, there are so many other factors involved (hydration, etc.) that it's kind of not so important. Thanks for the reminder about how an OPK is either + or not -- my brain is so used to the opposite rules about HPTs that it hadn't fully sunk in that they do not work the same at all.

I usually make some sort of lettuce wrap every week. I throw some chicken in the crockpot with either a buffalo, or some sort of soy sauce and put the shredded chicken and veggies in the wrap. We try and eat healthy during the week cause lord knows on the weekend we are all about the nachos.
What are you doing to GKTFU?: buying a new bbt for this cycle. I think my current one is dying. Sticking with PNV's and maybe adding green tea, as I never seem to get EW CM.

I plan all our meals for the week, but DH usually grills on the weekends or we get take out (rarely). This week I am making mexican lasagna, fish sticks with mac 'n' cheese, toasted almond chicken pilaf with vegs, steak stir fry, and pork chops with baked potatoes and vegs. Lunch for DH is usually leftovers from the night before, lunch for me is always a salad with lean protein and healthy fat.
icequeen, Ya, I have two. I'm going to see what it says tomorrow morn. Luckily I shouldn't be anywhere close to O so I'll test them both. I have naturally low BBT but that one was probably the lowest I have ever had.

BrewGirl, I hear you about low BBT temps. When I use the charts like mine feature on FF there are so few that seem to have as low temps as mine. My temp has always been low, I remember in high school my science teacher sent me to the nurse during the temp lab we did. I had all sorts of tests done by my doctor (and a specialist) but everything was perfectly normal. It can be kind of startling to see how low of a number I get some mornings...
