A lot of restaurants have a rule where if you're waiting on a big table, you have to give up the all other tables in your section. It has happened to me before and it sucks (money wise). Waiting 1.25 hours to order is kind of a dick move, IMO. Also, if you asked for separate checks then that's probably why it took him 20 mins to get it out to you. I don't think he should've been rude to you but it's not easy being a server, especially to a large group. I hope you tipped him well, even if he was a little pissy. 

I would understand the rudeness if any of that had been the case, but alas... they actually told us we should sit at a table rather than the bar, so we gave up the half-priced pitchers to oblige. He did have other tables and we did not ask for separate checks. (And yes, I still tipped well. I worked in food service myself in high school and college, so I never tip below 15% even if the service is terrible.) 

ETA: There were also only 6 of us, not a huge party.

I agree about traffic circles and freeways. I have been driving for 15 years and have parallel parked less than 10 times. It's not really a safety thing like the other 2.

On the flip side, if I had learned it for my drivers test I'd probably be better at it!

I meant she seemed to be complaining about the toughness of the exam. I wanted to point out it was hard for a reason. She missed my point.

Also, if it was a large group, restaurants usually try to space those reservations so that orders don't interfere with the flow of the rest of service. So the waiter may have had the chef or manager on his ass about why isn't he getting his orders in. But no, he shouldn't have been pissy with you guys.

NJ was a parking lot test. Still required parallel parking. Still failed. Pretty much pulled up to spot and refused to try. 17 year old Wallflwr was a rebel.

My tw is people who want to complain about other people but only TO other people but never say it to the one they have the issue with. Really? I'm a huge fan of when there's a problem let's handle it then and there. Come to me with the problem not everyone else because I would DAMN sure come to you about it. I just can't stand people that talk about people one way but don't ever bring up the issue and smile in someone's face. I don't pretend to like someone one I don't like. There just seems to be a lot of fake in the air here lately IRL. And not just with me, with coworkers as well. Thanks icequeen! What sucks is I know she didn't mean to hurt my feelings, she just really has no idea the disappointment that happens every cycle when my period starts. I had lurked here and TD for so long that I wish I had started getting involved sooner. She was always my go to person besides MH to bitch about my cycles and this process.

I was MIA the rest of yesterday, but needed to ass add some things.

First off, I don't think ANYONE should be on the road, just because they learned the things they needed to in order to pass a driving test. Just because you've done it once, doesn't mean you will be a safe driver. It should be second nature. My dad made me back his truck into his parking spot in our driveway, (One side of said driveway was straight cliff down a mountain.) I would cry cry and fight, because it was so scary, he MADE me every time I drove with him. As much fighting I put up, I'm glad he forced me. I can back up, maneuver, and parallel like a boss now.

You need to be so comfortable with all the things, like traffic circles, and freeways until they just come "naturally" or you don't even think twice about it being "scary". It's fucking terrifying to think about how many people there really are who just learned things to pass a test, and are out there driving amongst us. TERRIFYING!! And these are probably the people I cuss on a daily basis, because they are driving like idiots.
