Repost from May.... (Sorry if this is repetitive for those on FB and IG...)
For a month I have been struggling to keep my fluid up and also found out baby Adam was measuring a out 3 weeks behind. Well, today at my twice weekly biophysical the doc said enough, at 36w3d and sent me to the hospital for my c-section. My water was pretty much gone. Baby Adam Charles came out at 8:33pm April 7th weighing 4 lbs 8 oz (I am still unsure of his length). He scored a 9 and 9 on his 1 and 5 minute apgars and was allowed to come with me to recovery and back in my room. His temp seems to be holding up, sugar is good and though he hasn't latched yet he did eat 20mg of formula from a bottle (the pedi didn't want to wait any longer to feed him and he just keeps falling asleep at my breast.). It was a tougher c-section this time around. I had a ton of scar tissue and the surgery took quite a bit longer. I am also still in l&d so they can keep a closer eye on me because of bleeding. However, I am doing well and the nurse thinks we'll get to move to the maternity ward this morning. I am feeling beyond blessed, happy and completely in love with this little man! Thanks for taking the time to read this and for all of your thoughts and prayers over the last few difficult weeks!
