I've been trying to find some decoration ideas for valentine's day to fill the spot where I put our advent calendar. I wanted something with hearts and something I can do (so nothing overly complex).
I saw this and this and wanted both. But ultimately dh liked the first look better. So this is what I ended up with:
Sorry for the crappy cellphone pictures. Maybe in day light I can get a better one.
Yeah. I know what you mean. That's why I stick to what I know: some ready sewing projects, some wood work, some painting. Everything else is off limits.

I usually lack the patience for anything creative or crafty, however, I purchased a teething necklace over the holidays, and knew I wanted some more so I could match them with different outfits, but at the average cost, I though, I could research the appropriate, safe materials for this and do them myself. I have made a ton. I've actually only used about three of them, but I love making them. I actually find it relaxing to design them and put them together. Here's just a few (I hope they don't come out huge):
sstwinklinglites where were you able to find the wood beads. Everything I found had a coat of finish on it so I wasn't comfortable using then for teething. Yours are gorgeous.
pistolpackinmomma I love the prints you have on etsy. That apple one is adorable.
Thanks! I have a crap ton of new ones I just cut out today. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can get more posted! I had some cute owls but sold out quickly. I ordered more fabric I just need to get them made.
OMG... Do you have a picture of what the owl one looks like and are you getting more? Blueberry used to have an owl print and it kills me that I don't have it.

did that work? I think I might have posted the hat while I was working on it. I've only done a few rows of the cowl (bottom), but I think it will be nice.
The lighting in my house is making the colors look weird, but I am crazy about this yarn (Unforgettable by Red Heart in Tidal) - this picture is closer to the true colors

I got them off Etsy. And thanks for the compliment! I opened an Etsy shop at DH's behest, since I have so many I've made (but haven't posted them all), & he insisted I try to sell them, but I'm not holding my breath that I'll be successful.
You ladies are awesome! There are so many things that I would like to start on, but I don't know where to find the time. I feel like I am going to have to start on DD's birthday decorations now so that they are done by the time May comes around.
I have some other projects in waiting but here's one of the latest diaper's I made. This was for a customer but I can't wait to get one on the boys too!!
And it's sideways because I'm too lazy to fix it.
If I CD I would be all over this. Squee!!! I love elephants!

Everyone's stuff looks great! I'm starting a new thing...making stick horses. I made a really nice one for a friend's daughter and my husband said I should make more to sell at craft shows...So I'm going to try that.
I've also been knitting a lot, mostly cowls for baby girl. And I'm finishing up pajamas for baby, and working very slowly on a weaving project. I'm weaving thread in a frame to create something I drew. I will also throw in some embroidery here and there.
Yeah.... I have to have that owl print if you make another pistolpackinmomma I'm obsessed! Can you send me a note when it's available? I already have the link to your shop.
sstwinklinglites - I really love your teething necklaces, what are the balls stuffed with? I bet my LO would really like that, he always chews on the buttons on my shirt...

aimeefarrahfowler, babybarlow2014 - I use food grade silicone, wood, and crochet beads. The crochet are wood beads with the crochet over it. DS loves those. I have a few where I use both silicone and crochet.
Currently working on a prayer shawl for my friend, but the pattern is so complicated I have to stare at it and can't just knit away so I may be abandoning it and looking for a different pattern.
