Today's Challenge: Rest day! Done and done.
Bitch/Brag: I feel sore today - the break from squats is much appreciated! I will try to get in my yoga and hopefully some cardio today.
GTKY: What non-challenge healthy thing will you do for yourself today? (Fitness, diet, mental health, etc) I've got a nutritious day ahead and should get in my 6 servings of fruit and veggies.
Bitch/Brag: I didn't REALLY get a rest because today was legs/back for p90x. Well..technically it's my weak attempt at P90X.
GTKY: What non-challenge healthy thing will you do for yourself today? (Fitness, diet, mental health, etc) I'm hoping to refrain from ordering pizza for lunch. Nothing sounds better right now than a fresh pizza...

Today's Challenge: Rest day!
Bitch/Brag: My legs hurt from those squats. They are no joke! It hurts to sit on the toilet.
GTKY: What non-challenge healthy thing will you do for yourself today? (Fitness, diet, mental health, etc) I was hoping to take walks on the rest days but I think my legs will hate me if I even try. I'll try not to eat any chocolate today and I'm sticking to only water.

Today's Challenge: Rest day!
Bitch/Brag: I'm actually not sore at all today which is surprising since my thighs were starting to get sore from the squats yesterday.
GTKY: What non-challenge healthy thing will you do for yourself today? (Fitness, diet, mental health, etc) I try to walk a mile at lunch and at least 2 more after dinner every day, so I'll keep that up. And this is specifically for today, but after yesterday's comments on Pilates, I find myself looking into the BeachBody Piyo program. Anyone have any experience with this?
Rest day: done! Now if only work would let me have a little mental rest, instead of throwing a bunch of crap at me.
Bitch/Brag: I made myself rest from my strength training yesterday. And I feel guilty for it. My RE said I should only be doing 45 minutes of cardio 4 times a week. Any more than that affects the body's ability to get pregnant, even for women not struggling. Who knew?! And from what I understand, I should be doing strength maybe 3 times a week. I've been doing 7 days of cardio (30-40 minutes) and 4 days of strength. Ooops! But it's so hard to get out of this mindset I've had for years now of cutting calories and working out like crazy.
GTKY: What non-challenge healthy thing will you do for yourself today? I'm going to the gym for some cardio after work to destress. I'm cooking some yummy chicken and quinoa for dinner, and then I plan on reading in bed most of the evening. I need a mental break.

Bitch/Brag: I am so bad at deload weeks. 75% of 1RM is not a deload GM. And doing that same weight for floor press and then doing two sets to burn out is also not a deload.

Exactly why my copies of TurboJam and ChaLean Extreme came from eBay. I'd do the same if I decided I was interested in trying PiYo.

If you want to try pilates for free, here are Jessica Smith's pilates videos. A lot of these videos are fusion of Pilates with other styles - the mat instructor at my gym is a little more strict to the Pilates fundamentals. But the general idea is there and you can't beat free. (I do believe JS is certified in Pilates.)

I've been doing pretty damn good, except for yesterday when we ordered pizza for dinner. We have cut down on our eating out so I'm pretty happy with that! I'm also going for a small 2-3 mile run with my husband and kids tonight. I look forward to the runs lately because we are also trying to teach our kids new words outside like "house, boat, car" etc. So we are multitasking by taking care of ourselves and teaching our boys new words.

(Fitness, diet, mental health, etc) I have been tracking everything (yes, EVERYTHING) I eat in the MyFitness Pal app. I am in an 8-week family weight loss competition so I'm trying to stick to that. Weekends are really my downfall. M-F I eat like an angel.
Bitch/Brag: I haven't been sleeping enough lately and I'm just really really tired. I think I'm walking to a coffee shop later for some fresh air and caffeine.

Yay for rest day. It lines up with my gym rest day so it's a total rest day for me!
Bitch/brag: I feel good today, happy to be back in rhythm of working out (helps that weather is better too)!
I'm tracking my food, exercise with my fitness pal (have started many times before but didn't stick with it, this time I've gone over a week so far, progress!) and I'm eating healthy today and forcing myself to drink water. Hoping I can get in some extra walking after work, too.
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!

Bitch/brag: I just started yesterday, so I don't feel like I need the rest day, but I am taking it so that I don't get out of sync with everyone else.
GTKY: What non-challenge healthy thing will you do for yourself today? All water today. I bought B a pop for our lunch date and didn't have even a drink, which is unusual for me.
shemarie82, I'm doing the same thing, I'm trying to cut out pop and alcohol. I've also been trying to increase my water intake because I know I don't drink enough. It was hard the first few weeks but it's getting a lot easier!

I used to be a fountain Coke junkie, but I am not supposed to use straws or drink sugar drinks (gastric sleeve). I can not even compare to how bad I used to be, but I have slipped back into the habit of having them. As long as I have my water bottle next to me, I don't generally reach for anything else.
shemarie82, my husband is the same way. He LOVES pop! I'm thinking of getting him that soda maker for fathers day. I know he likes the carbonation so I'm wondering if that will help him at all.

He didn't elaborate, unfortunately. He just said that doing more aerobic exercise than 45 minutes 4 times a week is bad for baby-making, no matter if it's your first month of TTC or your 21st. I know a lot of the ladies on 3T, when I asked about exercise, especially in the TWW, mentioned that you definitely can do TOO MUCH. And I seem to fall into that category.
I definitely get workout anxiety. If I miss a day of cardio, or if I skip my strength, it makes me totally anxious. I was about to board the crazy train yesterday because I didn't go to the gym after work. It's partly a control thing for me. But also just part of my personality now -- I lost over 100 pounds, and I don't want to gain it back, I'm terrified of gaining it back, so I obsess over my workouts and food. Totally unhealthy, I know.

Yes, you can do too much. 45 min 4 times a week is nowhere near that level. Doing more than an hour daily is when it can start causing issues if you do that for a prolonged period of time.

If it's a carbonation thing, has he tried flavored seltzers? I have one with lunch every day because it's a change up from water, but is still only water. Gives me something different to drink without any sugar/artificial sweetener/calories.
