I've never been a huge drinker - and when I adopted DD a few years ago I dropped to even less since her bio parents were alcoholics - so for me it'll probably just be a glass of wine at whatever holiday comes after her birth
I'm not a huge drinker anymore. But. ...i know dhs friends are giving him a bottle of 18 yr jameson so I'll drimk some of that lol probably just a shot though.
I will want a gin and tonic so badly. I've already thought about the scenario so many times. As soon as baby and I are settled and did some breast feeding, I will send my husband out for a Panera's Sierra turkey sandwich and g&t.
Logically, probably wine. I was in the hospital for 3 days last time because of cs and I think the stress was preventing me from letting down. MIL brought us Chilli's and in the to-go cup put a little wine mixed with sprite. I finally let down about 45 min later.
When I get a chance to sit down and relax though my first drink will be Bushmills Whiskey on the rocks with just a bit of apple juice.
Hey guys, guess what! You can still have a drink when you're breastfeeding
Don't make fun of me but my beer of choice is Bud Light, so probably that. But I also reaaaaaaally want a margarita on the rocks with salt. Been craving that one for a few weeks now.
When I'm breastfeeding I usually have a beer or glass of wine every night
BUT the thing I'm most looking forward to is a mimosa. I think we may have a short, informal Sip and See pretty immediately just so I have an excuse to buy champagne.
I'm not really a sweets kind of person but we were at a restaurant the other day and the woman next to our table was drinking a mudslide. Pretty sure she saw me staring and drooling.
Since I'm a bartender, I'm think I'm going to create a drink in honor of May 15 called a bitter snatch. But I'll wait until I can actually have one.
Ohhh do it! Then we can all have one and toast together one night
If you could make it flamingo pink too, that'd be great! K thanks!
I'll be be having a jack and coke! Followed by a bad ass Hefeweizen. I plan on the jack and coke to be fairly soon after birth, a small one, so nothing that should compromise my milk!

IPA for me too. Laugnitas or Two-Hearted most likely. With my daughter, we had one set of married friends come visit in the hospital and they brought me a bomber of Avery's Maharaja. They're back on the small list of people invited to the hospital this time around!
