Who is the Rockbk person that just appeared out of thin air. They're pissing me off.
Someone who still has an account please respond to her post in the "Placenta Gender Prediction" thread about how she "ACTUALLY RESEARCHED & read MULTIPLE articles deeming [Ramzi's] method 97% accurate . . ." Oh goodness, it makes my skin crawl.
First: Ramzi's paper was self published. It was not peer reviewed.
Second: Other studies, published in peer-reviewed scientific journals have debunked Ramzi's so-called method of predicting gender based on placental location. See Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Volume 36, Issue S1, onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/uog.8568/pdf ("Conclusions: There is no relationship between placental location and fetal gender. Ultrasound assessment of genital tubercle is a more useful tool for prediction of fetal gender in early pregnancy.")
Finally: Even assuming (and that's a big assumption) that Ramzi's conclusions are correct, there are a number of conditions (e.g., the use of tracking color dye) that can't be replicated just by looking at a scan.
And why would she "research" the scientific papers and then remark that it's all "just for fun"? She seems to be talking out of both sides of her ass.
I just can't Even right now. It's too much. The person asking if she should stay in this community. She's fine, but the omgthe glitter rainbow fart wanna be response(s). I just can't even.

Did I get told to calm down in that thread? I thought it was directed at the post above me but now she's over agreeing with "Negative Nancy's."

I honestly couldn't tell, despite the "^^^". Even though she was talking to someone in particular, it came across as a general "you all are mean - why are you even here if you don't like it?" post than anything else. She's definitely in the camp of: if you're not going to say anything nice (i.e., you can totes feel movement at 9 weeks! you should legitimately be worried about eating lunchables! it's okay not to use the search function because we should answer any and all questions from FTM who can't possibly use their brains to actually look stuff up!), you shouldn't participate. Ugh...
And, I really wish people would look up the meaning of the word bully.
I felt my first at 16/17 weeks. Nothing at all with this one at 12 weeks. I figured maybe 14-15 weeks this time I might feel something. The baby was moving everywhere during my us yesterday, and I felt nothing.
And why do the call out "you are so mean" posters there always seem to end in God Bless or I'm praying for you? Does it make them feel better for being an ass?

Just got back from lunch - has anyone posted this yet for you because I will jump on that ship and do so.

Go for it! Although Rockbk has since proven herself insane.
I went back in mobile and at the top of the screen it gave the welcome about having to be a member for a few days before commenting. I took that as a sign.
