I want to do a "fuck yo couch" gif just because it's funny and I'm jealous of your new couch @hilarityensued. I wouldn't really stomp on your couch. Just let me nap.
I think if you order a venti you should always add an extra shot, otherwise it makes more sense to go with a grande. Unless you're not like me and drink for other reasons than caffeine.
DS passed his hearing tests this morning! The audiologist did rec speech therapy, which he already has an eval for Tuesday so...all is good. We're hoping to get good news tomorrow at PT and Monday at his eye appt.
How old is your DS? We just had our eval this morning for speech. We excel everywhere but on verbal communication and sounds my 19 mth old is at 6 months. Womp womp, so services here we come!
He's 16 months. His pedi referred him since he has regressed with language (used to say "dog" and now doesn't/can't), and has zero words.

Regression is never fun. We used to make sounds that sounded like his sister's name and waving. HE regressed back on both of those. We say no words, never really have. He does have two constant sounds and a couple of vowel sounds. totally at a 6 month stage. Luckily speech is the only issue it seems, so I will take it! Still incredibly frustrating.
I plan to get get a toilet with our tax refund. How exciting!
We got one for Christmas from my parents. Apparently they don't like the toilet in the guest bathroom they use when they come to visit. Win for me - new toilet and it was free
I'm sorry but this is the shittiest Christmas gift ever.

I'm sorry. It can be frustrating. My DS just does "bababa" and "dadada" with no real meaning behind them. I guess we'll find out more at his eval.
Have you tried sign language? I'm trying to teach DS some signs. It's sort of working. He knows how to sign "eat," although he doesn't understand that eat=time to eat food...if that makes any sense? Lol. He's also in PT and has been since he was 10 months old.
We finished our 100 days of school project (sticking 100 sparkly puffy flower stickers to a piece of posterboard) last night with no drama. And since we will apparently have to do it again in kindergarten, trust that I am keeping that shit for next year. 100 will still be 100 in 2016.
Also, DD is in a phase where she just gushes over me. "Mommy, I love you so much; mommy, you're so sweet and cute and smart..." etc. I'm trying to capture these moments in my memory to reflect upon when she's 13 and thinks I'm the devil.

This made me smile. I can't wait until DS can express his love. I will probably cry when I hear him clearly call me "mama."
I think he did once, but it could've been his upset wailing lol.
Thanks! She is my DSs twin too, its really weird... like..near identical. So itll be interesting to watch as she grows how similar they continue to look
Poor kids wont be able to deny being related when theyre fighting in the future

Hugs, hon. You're doing a great job with him, and it's going to feel all that much more amazing when he does start talking.

My coworker and I were talking about 13 year old girls yesterday (her daughter is 11). When I was 13, my dad threw a suitcase on my bed and told me to move out. 13 yr old girls are the worst.
