Pretty consistent over here with 3hrs for first nap then 4hrs after waking for second nap. Usually in bed for the night by 7:30-8 regardless of the time she woke from her second nap.
Car naps really mess with DS but they are unavoidable. Sucks! Sends the whole sleep schedule right down the tubes.
And we have about a 45 min ride, so even when I've tried to hold her off from sleeping, it doesn't work for that long. I read somewhere that if a baby is constantly falling asleep in the car it means they're not getting enough sleep, but really... one can only chew on Sophie for so long before sleeping seems like the best option on that long a ride!
One time I put DS in the car super close to nap time but wanted to make it the 25 minutes home without him falling asleep so I pulled over every 5 minutes or so to go back and talk to him. It totally backfired because he fell asleep the last 7 minutes and refused to nap when we got home. DH thought of was crazy but he also also dealt with the hot mess our baby becomes without his nap.

The 2-3-4 thing was kind of working it was actually more 2-3-3, but we went down to one long nap about 5 hours after waking up. Now for the past couple days she's waking up extra early(430-530ish) and added morning cat-nap back. In short I don't know what's going on.
