Today I get my permanent crown (been having this temporary one in my mouth for several weeks now). I didn't even intend it to be correlated, but I just now realized that I dressed my baby like she's a little queen- complete with a crown hat!

It's Saturday here, yes!
My to-do list includes... - Staining my hair red - Washing and folding piles of laundry - Cleaning the kitchen/catching up on dishes - Making sorbet for company tomorrow - Prepping the meat for tomorrow - Not being clawed to death by my baby - And more
zengal Hope your crown work is uneventful. catlady22 Yay for teeth. A cleaning service helps with the insanity around here.
We tried rice cereal for the first time last night. The recommended first time dilution was much runnier than I expected. She was interested in the spoon for the first few attempts, but it mostly dribbled out of her mouth. At least she got to taste it.
And, the sleep adventure continues. She dozed from 10 to midnight, but didn't finally settle down until 2am. Bleh.
I've talked about the "November babies" forum to MH so much that he asked for the url to share with his expectant coworker. Shared experiences are so helpful.

catlady22, I have a friend that swears when she got a cleaning service it saved her marriage.... apparently it's well worth it zengal, good luck with your crown hopefully it is all uneventful!
So I was rocking L to sleep while snacking on a few chocolate chips. Of course I dropped one and couldn't find it. Well I just laid him down in his crib and as I am slipping my hand out from under his head I feel this gooey-ness on my hand.... Yep I just smeared the melted chocolate chip all over my sons right cheek. I totally just left it there. We'll clean it up when he wakes up
You know I've been very frustrated with my hair...well I was just speaking with a coworker and I was saying how I've been thinking about getting it cut. She encouraged me to do it, so I scheduled an appointment for today! I hope I don't regret it-

wildflower810, - when your done at your house by all means you can head to mine!! Ha ha ... enjoy your Saturday!! catlady22, - oh man I LOVE when our cleaners come. They only come once a month but I'm going to ask about pricing for twice a month. Seriously I'm pretty sure nothing gets dusted until they come. It's some of the best money I spend. Just be careful of silly things. I swear my cleaners have done a few dumb things (my least favorite was emptying the diaper pail and not putting a new bag in it ... that was an unpleasant discovery). zengal, - good luck with that crown! jjh1119, - I'm with you love this site and so glad I'm more active. Sometimes it seemed drama found its way to TD way more ... almost to the point I miss a little for entertainment value ... but all in all its nice having a group of people here we can relate with.
Last night was a challenge. LO woke up for the first time at 11 pm, and was up at least every 1-2 hours after that. I caved early and brought him to bed with me (since DH isn't home). But I need to get this kid to sleep in his crib. I think we're ordering him a new mattress today, so hopefully that will makes a difference.
Yesterday I went to Trader Joe's without a grocery list and just wandered the aisles and put whatever looked good in my basket. Ha ha ... the freedom of eating on my own for the next 2 weeks. I got crazy and picked up turkey corndogs, that was the moment that I thought it best I leave. I've never spent more than $35 at TJ's and I spent way more than that yesterday. I forget how much I love that place. Busy day at work today. My mom is hear now so I should be able to get a lot done.
gldnbearz I hope LO starts sleeping better! And I also love this place. I have a few friends that are thinking about starting to try and I will definitely recommend this place to them. I didn't discover TD until fairly late in my pregnancy and I wish I had known about it from the start.
singingmama10 that's adorable! I hope you took a picture lol.
ninergirl52 I hope LO starts sleeping better soon and I love being able to eat unhealthy when my husband is away. It's a good thing he likes to eat healthy otherwise my diet would be pretty bad lol.
LO slept so well last night! She slept from 8-7 and only woke up once at 11ish and I had to wake her up to leave for work. I know it's a fluke but that's okay! Waking up to engorgement is no fun though. Ugh.

My hair is glopped up with henna and I'm clock watching until 4:00ish when I take it all out! It took H almost an hour and a half to get it all in and M woke up during the last 15 minutes. H hurried while we talked to the monitor and begged the baby to stay happy. I'm just hoping that the color is somewhat even with the henna being on some part a lot longer than on others. It should be fine....
ninergirl52, I'm on a cleaning kick lately. I don't know how long it will last, but everyone is enjoying a cleaner living space here! I would totally come and help you clean if I could.

wildflower810, I love red! Hard to keep but great to have! jjh1119,and singingmama10, I will take all the chocolate please!! Pop Tarts-chips-cakes, anything! (see below) zengal, I'm about ready to chop mine off too, started taking biotin last week. We'll see if it helps at all. So. Much. Hair. On. The. Floor. ninergirl52,I'm not allowed to go to the store without a list. It makes me all confused and I always end up with all the yummy stuff and nothing we actually needed. MMM TJ's cookie butter...YUM! gldnbearz,My guy hated rice by itself, loves it mixed with peas though!
DH and I played hookey from work yesterday. We got SS off to school, took LO to church and got his Christening scheduled, went to lunch for the first time in ages and went home and took naps!! The karma fairy has granted me with AF and a wicked headache in return. :/

Ugh I wish AF stayed away longer ladies!! I had an emerg c-section in October and it came back by December. Guess I'm just one of those weirdos that got it even though I was EBF then. It made my supply drop, had to start supplementing but I'm still pumping away. No matter how little it is, I figure it's still something.
gldnbearz, I'm taking Nature Made 2500mcg once a day with breakfast. It's a teeny purple gelcap, looks like a tic tac. Today is day 6 and I've already noticed less coming out in the shower.
ninergirl52, whenever H is away I go a little bit nuts on the crap food, together we eat really well. Give us all the organic fruits and veggies. Smoothies, salads, whatever. But when he is away I get takeout all the time lol. I do his accounts payable, so I see all the crap places he eats at too. So we both take it as a vacation from veggies.
wildflower810, Can't wait to hear how it turns out. I'm not familiar with henna, so not sure if it continues to process or has a stopping point. Awesome that your H applied it though!! He earned a few points.
singingmama10,I probably would have licked the chocolate off baby's face. lol. I hope it doesn't make too much mess leaving it on there.
littleapplemom,I hope this hairloss stops soon. One of the other stylist's at my salon has a 9 month old and she's still losing She's actually wearing extensions now.
zengal, go for the haircut! It will feel really good to have refreshed ends, and maybe a new look. I'm waiting for AF, Ive had two cycles but closer to 35 days instead of 28. We're not really preventing anything though, so I test every so often.

jjh1119, the henna can stay on as long as I want. At some point the dye transfer slows down so much there isn't much more point in leaving it on, but it wouldn't hurt my hair if I left it on all day.
I'm afraid M and I are coming down with something. He woke up motn sounding really congested and my throat is sore. He fought nursing alll afternoon and I'm pretty sure his throat is sore too. We're supposed to have company tomorrow, dang it! But now M is finally sleeping.... and so is H. I would join them except I have a head full of glop. I guess I'll make the sherbert instead now.
I need to get on the biotin train. The hair loss is ridiculous.
jax1182014 that's what I always thought too. I have a friend who always takes prenatal vitamins for her hair and nails, but I think it's the pregnancy hormones that make them grow. I don't think biotin and vitamins hurt by any means, I'm sure they do help, but you won't see that drastic change unless your pregnant. At least that's what I think and I'm far from an expert.
jax1182014 I believe it (eta believe there's nothing you can take). I just do everything I can in order to feel like I'm doing *something*. If it worked I'd still have hair, right?
I got it cut, probably eight inches! I like it and no regrets!
zengal so glad you like your haircut! You ladies are inspiring me to get my hair cut. Maybe this weekend...
Random: yesterday I used the boppy pillow to help LO sit up and she loved it! She's getting good at sitting up but will fall backwards so this was perfect. Although she doesn't roll... I feel likes she's doing backwards. Oh well she's adorable!
Re:hairloss- from what I understand there really isn't much you can do. BUT kerastase used to have a shampoo and conditioner specific for stressed scalps and hairloss. They recommended it for pp ladies. They have a new one that's called densitive that does something similar Eta: I didn't finish my thought process. Apparently it helps to tighten the hair follicles because something about a stressed scalp loosens the follicle? (I'm just going by whatever our kerastase rep told us so who even knows if it's true) however, it is a very very good brand and people have had success.
