I know that over on TB, Wednesdays tend to be a little dead because there isn't a consistent thread of the day. So, since I'm trying to really give this site a chance, I thought I'd take a chance and propose a thread (for this wednesday or for all wednesdays or for some wednesdays).
It's simple. List 5 things you like.
1. Diet Dr. Pepper (I'm keeping this in check during pregnancy because aspartame doesn't make me feel super safe)
2. Cuddling up with manada in our sunroom on the weekend and reading books/napping.
3. Public speaking/teaching
4. Sonic, especially the tater tots. (These are a road trip treat for us, since there is no sonic within 4 hours of us)
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
1. Coffee 2. Animals. I need a 12 step program or I will have ALL THE ANIMALS 3. Sewing and quilting 4. Reading. I like it and need to do it more. I always forget how much I love to read. 5. Spending time with DS and DP. They're my whole heart.
1. Alone time/Meditation 2. Playing on the weekend with the kiddos 3. Lunch (I really like food) 4. Woodwork or crafting such as sewing 5. Reading... I am a collector of lesbian fiction books and have wayyyy to many.

Things I like: 1) Apple Pie, it comes first on my list because I had some this morning. My birthday is 3.14, so I think it is a requirement that I like it. 2) Sleeping with a fuzzy blanket touching my face. I can't even say this has followed me from childhood, I picked it up as an adult. 3) Musicals, when listing my fav movies, 3 of them were music based. (Rent/Pitch perfect/Hairspray) 4) Chicken-favorite food- I could eat chicken every day. 5) Learning- I long to go back for my Masters just to be in class again. Yeah, I'm that girl!
ETA: In case you are not a math nerd like me, 3.14 is Pi

This is me recently. Our Costco had these amazing soft, fuzzy blankets. I love mine. It has to be touching my cheek.

manada and I are big musical fans, too! We love watching them as movies, going to them as live shows, singing their songs, making up songs as if our lives were musicals, etc.

I'll play healz413! 1. Dancing. I was a competitive dancer for ages and taught hip hop in Toronto for years after that. 2. Music. All kinds. Musicals, hip hop, folk, country, oldies. 3. Wifey. She's alright 4. Being pregnant! I throw up every morning these days and I still love it! 5. Crafting. It's my zone-out, total focus, decompress time. I'm obsessed with Pinterest, I love Halloween. and I just starting posting in the crafting board so you don't all have to read about it haha

How fun!
1. Wine. I'm not a daily drinker...but my heart goes pitter patter at the thought of a nice Beaujolais or a mellow Cabernet Sauvignon. 2. Our hot tub. 1+2 is my favorite activity ever. 3. Downton Abbey. 4. Crocheting 5. Pasta. Never met a noodle dish I didn't like!
1. Tex-mex, I could seriously eat it every day! I'm ruined for Mexican food when ever we move again! 2. Traveling/exploring- local and afar! 3. Weekends with my DW, usually we do 'nothing' but it's perfect! 4. Baking & decorating cupcakes! 5. The ocean!

1. Swimming. I am a Pisces, and part fish. My MIL once said I look like an otter when I'm playing in the water. I don't understand why anyone would be on the beach and not in the ocean.
2. Newfoundland dogs. No, I don't have one, but I desperately want one. They are big and sweet, and swim (see above).
3. Baking. I was a professional baker for a while, and still love taking my time to make something that looks and tastes great.
4. Reading a good book with a racing plot. By a fire (that someone else is maintaining) if possible.
1. Watching my kid learn new things. So amazing. 2. The beach. Boats. The ocean. All of it 3. Snow sports! 4. Food. Especially pizza, all the ice cream, of Thai and beer and nachos. 5. Riding a bike or swimming. They always make me feel like a kid.
So many of mine have been listed! 1. Being in/on/near the water. I'd spend all day every day in the ocean, at the beach or in the pool in my ideal world. 2. Kids. Especially mine, but I'm an early elementary teacher turned at least temporary SAHM so I love kids in general. 3. Travel. I love to go anywhere and everywhere. 4, Crafting, I dabble in practically every craft but have mastered none of them, 5. Coffee. All the coffee.
I want to play! 1. Knitting. It is so meditative and productive at the same time. 2. Walking/hiking. 3. Audiobooks - 1 and 2 go well with 3. 4. Laughing with friends and family. 5. My dog

karlamo: I love running, once I've gotten into the habit of doing it! I'm not a natural runner, so once I stop for a few months, I have a really tough time getting back into it, and then remember how much I enjoy it. And the beer afterwards is the best beer.
4, Crafting, I dabble in practically every craft but have mastered none of them,
This is exciting Are you on the crafters board too? Are you working on anything now?
I am on the crafters board but doing more lurking than posting right now. I'm somewhat between projects (which is to say I have 8,254 things in progress but am not currently working on any of them). It turns out that crafting time with a 4.5 month old is pretty much non-existent. I did a bunch of baby-related crafting this summer before LO came and am eager to get back to it!
Btw- I share your love of Halloween! We go all out around here.
This is me recently. Our Costco had these amazing soft, fuzzy blankets. I love mine. It has to be touching my cheek.
I have a fuzzy blanket from Costco too and I'm in love with it. My family calls it my blankie and nobody else is allowed to to use it.
My wife and I got separate ones for our wedding that we each have in our recliners. We share most things, but not the fuzzy blanket! I have one that I take with me when I travel as well. We always sleep under it rather than under hotel blankets!

I wouldn't call myself a natural runner either, though I've been running for almost 20 years. I'm perfectly happy going at my own pace and I get to the finish line when I get there. It frustrates the hell out of my wife who is a talented runner! I made the mistake of actually applying myself during a race and once she saw my time she started harping on me to run that way all the time. It was the last time I ever put in more effort than I cared to:)
1. Tex-mex, I could seriously eat it every day! I'm ruined for Mexican food when ever we move again!
What are your fav tex mex spots in our area? Ours closed down so I would love to find another fav.
Current favorite is Lupe Tortilla, my DW likes Chuey's but its not my favorite, but our go to place is Alecia's because it's basically right next to our house!
