Question: does anyone have experience introducing an ebf Lo to formula? If so, what kind & how did it go? I'm just looking to occasionally supplement (now that he's taking a bottle).
We used Enfamil Supplementing with LO. Since your LO is trying solids, hopefully you won't have too much trouble with whichever product you go with first.
ninergirl52, We use Similac Advanced Stage 1. I couldn't BF at birth, LO was in NICU and that is what the hospital gave him. I EBF for 2 mos when we came home and after AF came back supplemented with that. I even asked my ped about the stages of formula they have...he says it's a load of hooey, marketing gimmick, and to just stick with the one we've been giving him.

gldnbearz-hope you get some extra rest and yay for no morning meetings! sjp03- we haven't tried pears yet but hope so. Also Isaac was up twice last night too! He usually sleeps all night. wildflower810-poor LO! Hope you can rest soon and LO feels better very soon! @jjh119- I think I missed some stuff. The roof is getting worked on? Naps in the car are nice. Mostly. spiraltheory- How does he like the jumper? We have one but have not attempted it yet. Also I understand with the caffeine. I don't know why I thought a ice coffee was a good idea at 8pm. sadie74- Good luck on the conference call :-)
Drive by post! I had a super long & crazy day. We've tried a few purée's with Lo but the only thing he has liked has been rice cereal & Avacado. I made peas the other night & he didn't like it. He's rejected banana's, apples, mango, peas & oatmeal. Sweet potatoes, green beans & pear are up next.

Isaac occasionally has formula when I don't have enough BM pumped. I introduced it by mixing 1 part formula 2 parts breastmilk. And each time we used less and less breastmilk. We also use the Similac sensitive for gas and fussiness. To help combat any extra gas from formula.

Sorry I haven't been on. The first part of the week is hardest. So DH has been working insane 15 hour days back to back because the head chef and some of the less than stellar cooks left too. We ended up with a childcare snafu for tomorrow and my boss offered for me to bring Isaac to work with me! Luckily he is a very calm and easy going baby but I can't believe how awesome this place is! I hope it can be my forever home lol

songbirdsinging55 - Myles LOVES his doorway jumper! I put on music (Elvis, 50s rock-n-roll, anything with a fun beat) and he just jumps and jumps! It is so much fun to watch. It really helps him get his wiggles out. I ordered a rainforest jumper thing the other night when I couldn't sleep. I want something for outside and areas of my house that don't have regular door frames. It should arrive tomorrow. I hope he likes it as much as the hanging jumper.
songbirdsinging55 yes our roof was being redone but it was a scheduling fiasco and they never showed up the first day they were Supposed to and I spent the three days either at my moms or filling time with errands and walks
