What foods do you suggest that I cook up with BM? Oatmeal is probably M's least favorite food. She's just all, "nope, moving on." Oatmeal, teething cookies and what else?
DS hated oatmeal for a longggg time because of the texture. He liked Cream of Wheat more (that you can make with BM). I would make DS smoothies with fruits, veggies, and BM when I was still nursing him. Easiest way to get spinach in him.
Yogurt? Kefir? French Toast? Cheese (you already make your own, right?) Pudding? Idk...I think I just gave up with V taking BM any other way than the boob.
Ooo, scrambled eggs is a good idea. We have a bottle that she only half finished last night (unwarmed) and that seems like a good use before it goes bad
I really didn't attempt real chunky soups with some broth until he got the idea of a spoon down (so within the last 2 weeks). When I did make soup, I would just give him whatever the coup contained minus the liquid. You could do pre-loaded spoons if you don't want to spoon feed at all but that might be really messy if she doesn't have the spoon down yet.
She loves things that stick to the spoon, like hummus and pate, but she tends to turn the spoon upside down and all around, so it really needs to stick

Lots of IUI's and 3 IVFs later we have a daughter!

TTC #2 IVF #4 and an FET brought us DD #2 on St. Patrick's Day!
You could also give her some bread to dip in the soup too. Creamy soups may work best.
She hasn't quite figured out dipping yet, but maybe I should try it more. She still only licks stuff off her fingers if it got there accidentally.
The BM eggs are delicious! I'm going to make those for her more often. I'm really trying to get out of the steamed veggie rut, especially since that usually requires me to buy her special foods.
Kind of. I had a small batch of nut-less Raspberry Almond cookies that I forgot to put jam in, so I double baked them into a hard biscotti and gave her half of one. She loved it. But I decided that it was too sweet. So I'll likely make it again with less maple syrup. But there's no milk in it for BM.

Now he wants me to make it with quinoa flour instead of spelt. I really wish he would just say I want a cookie that meets XYZ reccs and tastes like abc, rather than all this third party experimenting. I mean, he pays me for all of these, but it's annoying

As far as soup, I made some split pea soup a couple of weeks ago. I let R have some of it (with no meat) and he loved it. It was thick enough to stick to the spoon well enough. I made it with a ham bone from a fresh (uncured) ham, and some smoked uncured pork, so not a lot of salt in it.

the cream of broccoli I make for ds is just steamed broccoli and celery in homemade chicken broth. I throw his in a blender with BM then season. It can be as thick or thin as you like. I always offered a spoon. but he normally used his hands and enjoyed the mess. I would spoon feed some, but overall it was a really messy meal.
