We travel about every other month to visit family and LO will soon be too big for the pack n play. What is a good next step for sleeping? I've seen travel toddler beds but wasn't sure if people actually used them or they were just unnecessary items they sucked you into.
What about just a sleeping bag? That's easy enough to pack and travel with and be too expensive. Other than that maybe like caymarks said and some type of travel cot.
My SIL always takes the crib mattress for her toddler. Last time we traveled we just had E sleep in our bed so we haven't dealt with it yet, but we did consider the crib mattress or one of those nap mats like daycares use because he sleeps on those every day anyway.
My SIL got DD a wicked cute toddler sleeping bag/mat thing that I think is from pottery Barn kids. It has a padded bottom and a pillow and blanket attached, and it all rolls up like a sleeping bag and has two straps to wear it like a backpack. DD naps on hers during the weekends, and I'll probably bring it with us on vacation this summer too.

This is what E needs to have for his new preschool. They call it a "nap pack." They are super cute. Good to know I can get one at PBK!
