We live in a community with a couple of man-made lakes. It was all done in the 70s, so things look pretty nice now. This is the first time we have had HOA fees, but being able to do this makes it worth it.
O! All of this laundry talk got me thinking. We are probably going to have to buy a new washer and dryer if and when we move. I need recommendations for some top loaders.
Major beef with front loaders? I ask because I would recommend Samsung for that. But I don't know about top loaders. :\
I actually have samsung front loaders right now! Lol. So that is funny. DH's parents gave us their old ones when we got married. We are going to be leaving them with the house when it sells.
I want top loaders mostly because I don't want to continue dealing with the stinky rubber seal on the front loading washing machine, and the top loaders seem to have a larger drum. Plus I think for the new laundry room top loaders will work better in the space.

Gotcha. There is a Samsung set at both of our houses because the owners of our current house left theirs. So those are older than the ones at the house we are selling. Big difference between the two. The newer set is so much better.
I understand about wanting a top loader, though. When I was researching, I was trying to decide between front loader and a top loader with no middle part. Not sure how much has changed, but it was pretty iffy on those newer style of top loaders. Good luck!!

I probably need to do some more research... the front loaders we have are quite a few years old. The house we are contracted to buy has a beautiful new washer and dryer but the owners aren't leaving them. I suppose we could have tried to ask for them but we chose not to.

I was very skeptical of the front loaders because of the seal issue, but I think that situation has gotten a lot better. I have not had any issues so far. We have washed with the cleaner once, though. I went in thinking I was gonna buy a top loader. Lol.

I wonder if a front loader might be better if the newer ones have improved.... a front loader would allow my grandmother to do laundry a lot easier. But I am also thinking top loaders would give me an excuse for her not to have to deal with the laundry, lol. Hmmmm.
I don't remember where my last update ended... soooo, she got moved from the hospital to a rehab center to work with OT and PT. She is still doing extremely well, they were very impressed with her. The only issues she is having still is the loss of her peripheral vision in her left eye and some memory stuff. She is very repetitive, lol. She remembers my name now but still can't remember DH's most of the time. She knows who everyone is though. The rehab center thinks they will send her home really soon with home health. Overall fantastic and I am so thankful the stroke was enough for me to realize there was a problem because it got her into the hospital and her diagnosed with a. fib and not so bad that anything worse happened. Apparently she had had a few other very small strokes that we didn't notice because they must not have affected much, but CTs showed some old infarcts.
Yes to the first, kind of to the second (San Diego). But all the touristy stuff I was thinking about doing is easy walking.
Late to the party (story of my life) but @pismodo did you go explore this beautiful city? I may be a little biased because I live in the area...but hope you got to check out some cool places!
I got out a little over the course of the week. My brother took me to Little Italy, and I sent quite a bit of time in the Gaslamp Quarter in the evenings. I've been here before, and it is quite a nice city.
