Hi everyone! I'm trying to figure out where my girls will sleep for the first few months until they move to cribs. My daughter slept in a bassinet by my bed for quite awhile. I'm thinking rather than getting two bassinets (I borrowed the first one from someone) I can get the Graco twin pack n play: www.gracobaby.com/products/pages/pack-n-play-playard-with-twins-bassinet-vance.aspx
Is this safe for overnight sleeping? Is there a better product/idea? Thanks!

We used rock n plays for the first 6 mo or so. Had no issues moving to cribs when they were ready.
The only thing w one place to sleep is if they sleep better apart, you've spent $$ and space on something that doesn't work. Also, they should be separated once they can scoot around in their sleep.
My twins slept in their bouncy seats for the first month or so while I slept on the couch (our couch is really comfy plus easier to get in-out of with c-section than bed). We transitioned them to their own cribs after that. You'll have to separate them once they start rolling so I would invest n two sleeping places for them whatever you decide.
I haven't heard a lot of good things about the twin pnp. Check out some of the other threads here; I think they were just talked about recently but I don't remember which one it was in.
The rnp saved our sanity the first night home from the hospital. It was the only thing DD would sleep in. DS slept in a regular pnp (no special bassinet but with the mattress in the raised position). After a few days we were able to transition DD so she slept in the pnp with her brother, both swaddled. They slept there in our room until about 3 months, then we moved them to the same crib in their own room. They shared a crib until 6 months when they started waking each other up. Now at 11 months they are sleeping in their own cribs in the same room.
I never heard good things about the twin PnP either. We opted to go with two RnPs. They slept in those until 4.5 months when we transitioned to cribs for overnights. They remained in the RnPs for naps until 6 months, when we sleep trained.
We loved the RnPs. The big added bonus, was both kids had severe reflux. The positioning of the RnP was wonderful for that.

With my singleton, I used the RnP for the first 6-8 weeks until she started STTN. She was in a bassinet for about 2 months after that only because we had one but I will probably transition straight to the crib this time.

We used the bouncy seats for the first two weeks or so, then put them in the same crib where they currently sleep. We have a second crib that we'll set up when we need to, but for now, they don't need it. Since we live in a small apartment, it's always been about saving space and not buying something that we aren't going to use for an extended period of time.
Ours slept in the same pnp at first. When they started moving in their sleep, dd slept in a rnp, and ds slept in a swing. Next, dd slept in a crib and ds slept in the pnp (he resisted sleeping in the crib at first).
I was registered for this until some insight here that its not worth it/ not too safe. Can u maybe borrow a bassinet from 2 ppl? I asked around w two co workers ( that I like if course) so that was a big help. Or maybe look for them at a once upon a child store ( still cheaper that the pnp) gl.

I haven't seen hardly any good reviews about the twin PNP either.
My girls slept in bassinets, then we switched to a regular PNP. We just laid them in the bottom, PNP was horizontal girls were vertical, it was a slightly bigger PNP so plenty of room. Once they started rolling we moved them to their own cribs.

Thank you all! The information about the twin PNP was very helpful. I don't really want to do a RNP or anything that's on the floor. I have pets and a 2-year-old, and want something that's about bad level for night time breast-feeding. I think probably the best solution is just to get two bassinets. I don't know why no one's invented a large bassinet with a divider down the middle yet...
What about an arms reach co-sleeper? Anyone use that? I'd been looking at that and love that it's bed height and lols like it would hold two babies but it's not divided. I would like them at bed level as well.
We used the rock n plays until they outgrew them. We never put them in the same bed together, they slept in separate pack n plays in our room too. I still have one that sleeps in my room in his pack and play and one that's sleeps in his crib I their room.
My boys slept swaddled at opposite ends of a PNP bassinet in the beginning. By 6 weeks they were wiggling and waking each other, so we put a second PNP in our room. They moved to their cribs at 14 weeks.
Edit: I promise I know the difference between there, they're, and their.
